We are excited to be hosting the AO 1 Point Slam at Yarra Glen Tennis Club in conjunction with our Xmas Party.

Each match is just 1 point, win the point, win the match and progress to the next round. If you win the final match, you win the event, proceed to the State Championships and, if successful then onto the Australian Open.

Everyone is welcome to join in the fun.

Date: 6th December

Time: 5:00 pm

Entries Close: 3rd December

Cost: $2

Come along and join in the fun - everyone is welcome.

At this year’s Xmas Party we will be hosting an official “AO 1 point slam” with one lucky winner going through to the next stage and, if successful, going through to the draw at the AO tournament which will include 24 local players and 24 pro players - including Alcaraz. Assistant Coach of the Year 2025 Nominee - Jack Rothwell

Discover Tennis and Yarra Glen Tennis Club are super excited to announce that our very own Jack Rothwell is a finalist for the TCA Assistant Coach of the Year award for 2025.

Jack is in the final 3 of Australian Assistant Coaches which comes to absolutely no surprise to those who see Jack’s tireless work around the club and particularly in the absence of the Head Coach this year.

The awards ceremony is on Sunday 12th October 5-8pm @ Royal South Yarra TC.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY ACTIVITIES - Week 1

MATCHPLAY ROUND ROBIN TOURNAMENT
Tues 23rd Sept

*Greenball Singles
Time: 10am to 12:30 pm
*Orangeball Doubles
Time: 1:00 - 2:30 pm
*Redball Doubles
Time 2:30-4:00 pm

Cost- $20 per MatchPlay session

Maximum no. of players per session - 8 players

SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAM
Thursday 25/9

Ages: 5 to 14
Time: 10:00-1:00 pm
Cost: $50
Byo: Lunch, Snacks, Drink Bottle and Racquet

Really proud of all the players competing in their respective finals today - all players did a fantastic job with both matches super close. Our JDC2 team won their final by 2 games whilst our JDC8 lost by 2 games. The future of the Club is in good hands.

Congratulations to our Grade 4 Pennant Ladies on making it through the Section finals and the Grade Semi Final. The final will be played at Altona against Grovedale Tennis Club on Saturday afternoon from 1:00. If you have some spare time I am sure they would love some additional support. It is 25 years since we had a Ladies team competing in the final. Good Luck ladies.

Congratulations to our Grade 4 Ladies Pennant team who won their Section Final last weekend and are now through to the Grade Semi-Final. The match against Kooyong LTC is being played at Yarra Glen tomorrow at 1:00 pm. If you are keen to see some great tennis come on down and support the ladies.

Congratulations to our five Lilydale & District Night Tennis teams on a great season with all teams playing in the finals. Special congratulations to our Section 3 Ladies team - Volley Girls - on winning the flag after going undefeated for the entire season.

Also good luck to our Section 6 Men’s team - The Kelly Gang - when they play in the final next Tuesday.
