💛🖤 Congratulations Nathan "Eattsy" Eatts on 200 Senior Games 🖤💛

This Saturday, 20th of June, we celebrate a fantastic milestone as Nathan "Eattsy" Eatts runs out for his 200th Senior Game. Eattsy will reach the milestone in the Reserves against Willunga, with the game kicking off at 12:45pm at Willunga Oval.

Eattsy first pulled on the black and yellow back in 1999, starting out in the Modi's. More than 25 years later, he'll become the latest Tiger to reach the 200 Senior Games milestone, with every one of those games played for Yankalilla.

Always willing to put his hand up for the club, Eattsy has contributed in many ways over the years, both on and off the field, including:

🐯 Reserves Captain for more than five seasons
🐯 Club committee member for three years
🐯 Junior Colts coach
🐯 Current Reserves co-coach

Reaching 200 senior games for one club is a tremendous achievement and a credit to the loyalty and commitment Eattsy has shown to the Tigers over many years.

We encourage all Tiger supporters to get along to Willunga Oval on Saturday, cheer on the Tigers and show your support for one of our great clubmen as he celebrates this special milestone.

A great honour for the Kantilla family.

David Kantilla paved the way and broke down barriers for Indigenous footballers to compete in state leagues across Australia. His groundbreaking achievements and lasting legacy continue to inspire generations.

His descendants, Kim and Karlson, both proud members of the Tiger family, should be incredibly proud of the impact their relative had on our game and the path he forged for so many who followed.

It’s been a long time coming, but David Kantilla has been inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame! 🌟

🐯 Let's Rally Around One of Our Tiger Families 🐯

Our club is more than just football and netball, it's a community that looks after its own.

Right now, one of our Tiger families is facing an incredibly difficult time after Beck recently suffered a stroke at just 38 years of age. As she begins her recovery, the family is also dealing with the financial impact of time away from work while caring for their three children.

Many of you will know her husband Dan as one of our dedicated Under 8 Modi's coaches, both Dan and Beck are valued volunteers who generously give their time to our club. Now it's our turn to give something back.

A GoFundMe has been set up to help ease some of the financial pressure while Beck focuses on her recovery. If you're in a position to help, no matter how big or small, it would mean the world to the family. If you're unable to donate, sharing the fundraiser is another great way to show your support.

We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you.

It's fantastic to see all four partner clubs — Yankalilla Football Club, Encounter Bay Football Club, Goolwa Football Club and Myponga-Sellicks Football Club — represented among this group of milestone achievers.

Despite facing a number of challenges early in the season, the Stingrays have continued to demonstrate the resilience, determination and sportsmanship that all four clubs value and take pride in. Along the way, there have been some well-deserved wins to celebrate too!

A huge thank you to every player who has pulled on the jumper this season — especially those who have backed up for consecutive games to ensure their teammates could take the field. We also extend our gratitude to our dedicated volunteers and to the opposition clubs who have worked collaboratively to share players and help keep this competition thriving.

Here's to a strong second half of the season. Go Stingrays! 🦈💪🏉
