Congratulations to Josh Sweeney, representing HPC at the PSQ State Championships this weekend he achieved some great results. Josh won the Mens 5 Match Agregrate, silver in the 50m and CF matches, bronze in the RF.

Our rear wall for Range C is well under way and not far from completion. Thanks to all the members who assisted today and also to the Sunshine Coast Council who financed the purchase of the hardwood required for the project through their community grants program.

This week we got the front of Range C completed. Now we have a few more small jobs to be completed before we can start using Range C :)

FRESH OFF OF THE PRESS

Weapons Licensing Branch (WLB) have announced that they will no longer approve PTAs for not-yet-issued firearm licence holders.

For some years the practice has been for shooters to lodge their licence application and first PTA at the same time, since it takes months for the licence to be issued anyway. That way the mandatory 28 day waiting period for a first PTA would run as part of the licence processing time, meaning the shooter could get their licence and PTA at the same time.

WLB advise this process is now causing all sorts of administrative issues and slowing down PTA issuing times generally, and that they will now contact anyone who lodges a PTA before their licence is approved and ask them to withdraw their application (and receive a refund).

In the meantime, unfortunately, it means new licence applicants should not be applying for a PTA until their fi****ms licence has been issued and the licence card received.

ATTN: MEMBERS RE: TEMPORARY RANGE CLOSURE

We are closing the ranges from 18/04/2023 during the weekdays for the next couple of weeks while construction work continues on Range C. We will let you know when the ranges are open during the week again.

Our new Bullet Catcher on Range C is getting a lot closer. We hope to see the base of the catchers lined in the next week or so.

Another week has passed by and we are making more progress with Range C. Bullet Catcher is starting to take shape.

In the last week we have had some great progress made with Range C. Earthworks have been done. On to the next phase of the build!

We had a great turn out last weekend for our working bee. Our range had a few tech upgrades, including WIFI and NEW Locks deployed across the Ranges.

Thank you to the Sunshine Coast Council's Grants Program for enabling us to deploy these locks.

Happy New Year to our members. Progress has been made to Range C.

While we have a way to go, we are still making progress. We cant wait for it to get completed and have members using it.
