🏀 Huge thank you to our amazing sponsors for supporting our U12 Girls NJL team this season.

Your support helped cover the team’s competition fees and gave these girls the opportunity to compete against teams from across the Northern Region.

Three rounds in and the girls are still undefeated 💪🔥

🏀 REPRESENT YAMBA TRAWLERS 🏀

Expressions of Interest are now open for players, coaches and managers wanting to be part of our representative teams for:

🔥 Yamba Prawn Bowl – 25 & 26 July
🔥 North Coast Shield – Aug/Sept to November

We are looking for:

* U9 Mixed (2018–2020)
* U11 Boys & Girls (2016–2017)
* U13 Boys & Girls (2014–2015)
* U15 Boys & Girls (2012–2013)

Keen to play? Keen to coach? Keen to help manage a team? We want to hear from you.

North Coast Shield is expected to again run once a month in Ballina, with finals in November.

NCS youngest age division is U11s, however if U9 players are keen to challenge themselves put in an EOI for NCS U11s as well.

Please note NCS U17s will have a separate EOI process and Steve will be in touch.

🏀 No Monday comp on 20 April… but we’re still on! 🏀

We’ll be running scrimmages at the usual Monday comp times, so if your player is keen, come along for some friendly games and extra court time.

Monday comp is back on Monday 27 April. Yes, it’s a public holiday… but there’s nowhere we’d rather be.

🏀 ADVANCED CONCEPTS TRAINING PROGRAM – TERM 2 🏀

Yamba Trawlers are excited to again offer our Advanced Concepts Training Program, led by Steve Smith.

This 5-week program is designed for players ready to take the next step in their basketball development, with sessions focused on:

🔥 Higher-level concepts
🧠 Decision-making and game awareness
⚡ Playing faster and under pressure
🏀 Skills that translate directly into competition

📅 Sundays: 10 May | 17 May | 31 May | 14 June | 28 June

⏰ 3:30–5:00pm
📍 Raymond Laurie Sports Centre
👥 Players born 2012–2017
💰 $40 for the full program

If your player is interested in representing Yamba in the North Coast Shield Competition (August/September–November), we strongly recommend they take part in this program. It will provide a great opportunity to build the skills, understanding and work ethic required for representative basketball. Yamba Trawlers will hold North Coast Shield Trials in June/July.
