Push ups might not be everyone’s favourite move in class…and that’s okay! But they’re one of the most powerful exercises you can do, especially for women over 40. 💪✨

As we move through our 40s, 50’s and beyond, maintaining strength becomes essential for supporting our joints, improving posture, and keeping everyday movements feeling easy. Push ups help build upper body strength in the chest, shoulders, arms, and core…muscles we rely on for things like lifting groceries, pushing heavy loads. getting up off the floor and maintaining every day posture.

They’re also fantastic for bone health. Weight-bearing exercises like push-ups help stimulate bone density, which becomes increasingly important as estrogen levels change.

The best part? Push-ups don’t have to look one specific way. Wall push-ups, incline push ups, or knee push ups all deliver amazing benefits while meeting your body exactly where it is.

In our classes, we focus on strong, supported movement. Every push up variation you do is helping you build strength, stability and confidence in your body. That’s something worth celebrating.

Remember: strength has no age limit.

✨ Why add a glute band?

Because that little loop is powerful.

• It increases time under tension, helping to build strength and definition
