There were 5 ladies who played in Saturday's Stroke round. It was another stunning day on the course.

Congratulations to Mary Hogan who won with a fabulous Nett 66 and who had some amazing trick shots up her sleeve. On the 8th, she managed to skim her ball not once, but twice across the water and pop out onto the grass on the other side. It was impressive to watch.

Runner-up was Tiffany Lee with Nett 74 who takes home a ball and NTP went to Fay Gimenez.

The GIMY Shield returned on Monday, bringing spectacular conditions to Royal Iluka for a fantastic day of golf.

Playing a 4BBB format, the standard of golf was high. Carolyn Doyle (Maclean) and Jane Anderson (Yamba) claimed this year's title with a brilliant score of 46 points. Finishing just one point behind as close runners-up were Kay Dines (Iluka) and Janet Pilgrim (Grafton) on 45 points. Balls were awarded to 40pts.

NTP:
1/10 - Peg James (Div 1) and Julie Campbell (Div 2)
6/15 - Glen Czarnota (Div 1) and Lyn Rowland (Div 2)
8/17 - Carolyn Doyle and Elaine Shane (Div 1) and Gayle Armour (Div 2)

Kathy Parker and Mary Hogan came home with beautiful prizes from the raffle and 100 board.

The GIMY Shield was originally established to foster friendships and connections between the Grafton, Iluka, Maclean, and Yamba women’s clubs. True to tradition, everyone involved completely fulfilled that brief today.

A huge thank you goes out to Chris Durrington, Tyler’s fantastic greenkeeping team, and the Iluka Ladies who hosted such a wonderful event. The course presentation, seamless organisation, and delicious lunch and desserts were absolutely amazing!

The event heads inland next year, with Grafton set to host the GIMY Shield in 2027.

With things this tight, it’s still anyone’s game. Good luck to everyone next week! 🏌️‍♂️⛳
