The spine is typically strong and robust.
Bending and loading are safe - done regularly, they build resilience rather than wear you out. So why is it that our back causes us issues when we bend down to pick up a sock or pull a w**d? Maybe it’s the poor sleep, the stress, the sitting at the desk, the lack of strength to support the spine and the trivial movement such as picking up the sock is the final message from your body to do something different.
