Good win today from a promising filly, would like thank all owners and connections.

A well deserved win by Rodney Bailey's consistent mare Thunder Rose, breaking through in the 1200m F&M Maiden at Port Macquarie Race Club today.

The four-year-old, placed in three of her four starts, put almost two lengths on her rivals with Darryl McLellan in the saddle.

Congrats to the stable and connections.

The most misunderstood part of horse training is the idea that you have to get horses 'used to' new things. Many trainers advocate to keep exposing horses to things that frighten them

The stables princess, Lohan princess steps out for the first time tomorrow. We are very excited to see our first two year old of the season get to the races. We expect her to run a good race. Our second runner tomorrow is a horse by the name of Vaulter. It's his first race start for us after changing trainers and having a long break.

Lohan princess is below, she looks to be a little shy of the camera! 🐎

We traveled to Gosford today to trial two horses, Lohan princess (Casino prince x Echo maid) the other being Vaulter (exceed and excel x Canny high). Both horses trialed well, we were over joyed by the effort of Lohan princess as it was her first time trialing. She handled the situation extremely well and looks to be a progressive horse.

Exciting times for us at Rod Bailey racing with a few of our youngsters stepping out for the first time. Today we have Dr Gratitude a 3 year old gelding (Makfi x Scarlet Vanhara) trialing at Randwick over 1045 metres, Rory Hutchins to ride. On Tuesday at Gosford we have a 2 year old filly (Casino Prince x Echo Maid) trailing over 845 metres, she goes by the name of Lohan Princess. It is the first time both these horse will attend the trials so it is a big step for them in becoming race horses. It is very exciting to see some promising young horses commencing there careers with us!
