πŸ“Έ Another Day at the Diamond ⚾️🦘

The scoreboard won't remember every moment, but these photos certainly do!

Another great day spent at the ballpark with teammates, family, friends, and plenty of baseball. There were great catches, big hits, close plays, and the usual mix of cheers, laughter, and friendly banter.

As with every week, some teams got the win, some teams took the loss, and a select few players took a baseball to places they'd rather not mention... πŸ˜…βšΎοΈ

That's baseball though β€” sometimes you hit the ball, and sometimes the ball hits you!

Enjoy some of our favourite moments from the day and don't forget to tag your teammates if you spot them in the photos.

⚾️ What a Great Day at the Fields! 🦘

It was fantastic to see so many Roos and supporters out enjoying a great day of baseball today. Plenty of action on the diamond, great catches, solid hits, and some impressive plays all round! πŸ™Œ

Although, not everyone seemed focused on baseball... 🀣

Between the pole dancing demonstrations and the highly competitive handball championships taking place around the grounds, there were definitely a few alternative sports being trialled today! πŸ˜‚
That's what makes club days special β€” good baseball, good laughs, and great people enjoying each other's company. πŸ’šπŸ’›

Thanks to everyone who came down, played, supported, volunteered, and helped make it such a fun day.

See you all back at the diamond next weekend! βšΎοΈπŸ¦˜πŸ˜„

⚾️ It's Time to Get Back on the Diamond! 🦘

After a couple of weekends washed out, we're looking forward to finally getting back to baseball this weekend! β˜€οΈβšΎοΈ

With all grades playing at our home ground, let's get behind our club, support our canteen, and cheer on the Roos throughout the day πŸ’šπŸ’›

Whether you're playing, supporting family and friends, or just love a good day at the ballpark, stick around, grab something from the canteen, and enjoy the baseball. Every purchase helps support our club and our players.

A huge thank you to our valued sponsors for their ongoing support of Wyong Roos Baseball Club:

Without the support of local businesses like these, community sport wouldn't be possible. We encourage our Roos family to support the businesses that support our club.

See you at the diamond this weekend β€” let's make it a great day for Wyong Roos Baseball! πŸ¦˜βšΎοΈπŸ’šπŸ’›

As the sun comes out this weekend, we know the frustration is going to set in for a lot of players, families and volunteers. Looking outside, it will no doubt feel like baseball could be going ahead. β˜€οΈβšΎ

What many people don't see is that before the decision was made, discussions were already taking place about the possibility of games proceeding. Everyone was exploring options and doing what they could to try and get baseball on.

Unfortunately, once Central Coast Council made the decision to close all sporting grounds for the weekend, the matter was taken out of our hands. At that point there was simply no option for games to proceed.

We understand the disappointment and share it ourselves. Nobody wants to be playing baseball more than the players, coaches, volunteers and committee members who put so much time into the season.

Unfortunately, when the higher authorities make the call, there is nothing we can do except respect the decision.

To add to the frustration, next weekend is already a scheduled competition bye, meaning there are no games planned. Hopefully the weather improves, the grounds recover, and we're all back on the diamond soon.

Thanks for your understanding and continued support. πŸ’™βšΎ

We know it’s frustrating for everyone, players, families, coaches and supporters alike. Unfortunately the weather is completely out of our control. 🌧️

With the amount of rain we’ve had, the fields simply aren’t able to be trained on without risking damage and safety issues, and Council has officially closed the grounds.

At this stage all we can do is cross our fingers and hope the weather fines up soon so we can get back out there playing the game we love. ⚾

Sorry everyone, and thank you for your understanding and patience.

🍻 Washout?

We made the best of it! 🌧️⚾

Great to see so many players, families and supporters down at the Wyong Bowling Club this afternoon despite the rain! πŸ’™

The drinks are flowing, the laughs are loud, and it’s been awesome catching up away from the diamond. Thanks to everyone who came along and kept the team spirit alive even with the washout πŸ™Œ

Love seeing our baseball family together!

Unfortunately the rains got the better of us and all games at watanobbi are a washout. The fields are already unplayable and not going to improve overnight. Enjoy your weekend. Dodgers Baseball Club Magpies Baseball Club
