✨ It’s live! And I’d love your help testing it.

After a lot of behind-the-scenes rebuilding, the new Whole Warrior Solutions website is now live. 💗

It has a fresh look, clearer pathways and a much easier way to explore how I support people through:

Father’s Day can hold many different emotions.

Today we honour the fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, foster fathers, father figures and men who show up with love, steadiness and care.

We also honour the single mothers who have carried both roles, made impossible decisions, kept households going, protected their children, and provided the consistency a child needed when someone else could not.

For some, today is joyful.
For others, it may bring grief, disappointment, complicated memories, estrangement or loss.

There is no one right way to feel about Father’s Day.

What matters most is not a title, but the presence, safety, love and responsibility we offer the people who depend on us.

To every person helping a child feel safe, valued and loved today, we see you. 💗

Your past can explain you, but it doesn't have to control your future.

We’ve all been there. Life happens, painful things occur, and it’s valid to feel the weight of those experiences. But there is a crucial difference between acknowledging that we were victims of a circumstance and allowing that identity to decide what happens next.

It’s a subtle but powerful shift in the questions we ask ourselves:

Instead of: “Why does this keep happening to me?”

Try asking: “What choice is available to me now?”

This shift moves us away from what we cannot control and anchors us in the one place where our power truly lives: the present moment and the choice we make next.

✨ A fresh new Whole Warrior Solutions website is coming soon.

The heart of the private practice hasn’t changed, but the way you experience us online is getting a thoughtful refresh.

The new website has been designed to make it easier to:

🌿 understand the support available
🌿 find the right service or referral pathway
🌿 navigate options for counselling, recovery coaching and therapeutic capacity building
🌿 enquire, refer or book without unnecessary complexity

Most importantly, I wanted our online space to better reflect the way Whole Warrior Solutions actually works: warm, human, trauma-informed, person-centred and respectful of your whole story.

People often tell separating women to stay calm.

Stay calm for the children.

Stay calm for court.

Stay calm in messages.

Stay calm in mediation.

Stay calm when discussing money.

Stay calm when the other person rewrites the story.

Stay calm when you are scared.

Stay calm when you are exhausted.

Yes, calm can help.

But calm is not always available on command.

Sometimes your nervous system is responding to years of betrayal, pressure, intimidation, uncertainty, emotional neglect or coercive control.

Sometimes your body is not being dramatic.

It is remembering.

The goal is not to shame yourself into calm.

The goal is to build enough safety, support and regulation that calm becomes more accessible over time.

That is different.

And far more compassionate.

"He’s not physically violent."

We hear this phrase too often, don’t we? It’s a myth that minimises experiences and, tragically, keeps women at risk.

Recent insights from the research sector remind us that the language we use to describe violence shapes what we recognise, what we minimise, and how urgently systems respond (ANROWS 2026). When we soften the reality of coercive control, stalking, surveillance, isolation, or financial and emotional abuse by labelling them "relationship issues" or "bad behaviour," we dilute the response needed to keep women safe.

These are not "lesser" forms of harm. They are distinct indicators of escalating risk.

In my work at Whole Warrior Solutions, I focus on the "Protect Me" pillar of our framework—because knowing the signs of non-physical harm is the first step toward safety. It’s about:

🛡️ Setting and holding firm boundaries.

🛡️ Recognising the red flags of control early.

🛡️ Understanding that "safety" is not just the absence of physical violence—it’s the presence of respect and autonomy.

Language alone won't stop violence, but it does change how we view responsibility and where we direct intervention. We need to be clear about conduct and prioritise the safety of those navigating these complex dynamics.

You do not have to be “over it” by now.

There is no neat timeline for recovering from separation, divorce or betrayal.

Especially when the relationship changed your sense of self.

Especially when you were lied to.

Especially when you carried the emotional labour for years.

Especially when you kept trying because you believed in commitment, family, faith, loyalty or hope.

Especially when the ending came with legal stress, financial fear, parenting worries or the loss of a shared future.

Some days you may feel strong.

Some days you may feel furious.

Some days you may miss them.

Some days you may wonder if you imagined how bad it was.

Some days you may feel relieved and devastated in the same hour.

That is not regression.

That is grief moving through the nervous system.

Healing is not a straight road.

It is often a spiral.

You return to the same questions with more truth each time.

Legal preparation matters during separation.

So does emotional preparation.

You may need legal information, documents, timelines, financial clarity and advice about your options.

But you may also need support to stay grounded while you make decisions that affect your home, children, finances, future and sense of safety.

Stress can narrow thinking.

Trauma can make everything feel urgent.

Grief can make you doubt yourself.

Fear can make you freeze.

Anger can make you want to act quickly.

Exhaustion can make even simple forms feel impossible.

This is why counselling can be helpful during separation and divorce.

Not to tell you what legal decisions to make.

Not to replace legal advice.

But to help you regulate your nervous system, process what has happened, clarify your values, strengthen boundaries, and keep returning to the question:

“What is the next wise step?”
