Hello Everyone
The courts at Wynyard will be unavailable today, Tuesday 28, due to pressure cleaning. The pickle ball line marking has been moved to Thursday, so sadly the Wynyard courts will not be available on Thursday. Sorry for the extra complication.
The Somerset courts are available though.😊
Hope to see many of you at Somerset on Wednesday 10:30-12, for a social hit.

Come one, come all!😊🎾

Bunnings Sausage Sizzle a great success: Firstly, a big thank you to Gina Brown for organizing this event. There was lots of planning and co-ordinating to be done, and Gina ran this without a hiccup. We had a very busy and successful day, making $1 244.75 for our wonderful club. A huge thank you to those who made donations: Woolworths Wynyard, Kay, Carol, Jancie, and all the wonderful customers who said "keep the change". And then of course, there were many club volunteers on the day, working various shifts, so a big thank you to Chris, Jenny, Kay, Reno, Greg, Jo, Karen, Bry, Gavin, Tiva and Heather. And finally, thank you to all those customers who supported our club by buying a snag or two and a coldie. This was very much appreciated.
We were literally so busy on the day, that few photos were taken. Below are some pics from the day I managed to get hold of.

The Burnie Tennis Club Grass Court Seniors Championships took place over the weekend. Several members from our Wynyard Somerset Tennis Club participated in the event. On Saturday, David Hansen played in the mens doubles and Sue Stanton and Heather Hunter played in the ladies doubles. On Sunday, Chris Adam and Gina Brown, and Jenny Watson and Jono Samiec played in the mixed doubles. All our club members enjoyed playing in their matches and getting the chance to compete against different competitors from around Tasmania. Congratulations to Sue and Heather for taking out top honours in the ladies doubles. And a big thank you to event organizer Shaun for a well run event and a fun weekend of tennis.

To all our senior club members, here is a great opportunity to play in the Burnie grass court championships. Not far from home for all of us, and I'm sure it will be great fun. I am aware of a few of our club members who have registered already and we wish them the best of luck.

The Tasmanian Government are encouraging Tasmanians 65 years and over, by offering up to $100 to cover the cost of sport membership. No excuse now not to get out there and play tennis.
