For those asking about a website, at the moment this is it for online exposure. I'd love to spend my days building these beautiful machines but at this stage it won't pay the bills so I have to continue working on boats, which isn't such a bad thing either. As for the cost of these bicycles, as they are custom built that is variable. These are probably the best engineered bamboo bicycles available requiring an extraordinary amount of labour to construct. If I put a price somewhere between $3000 and $5000 per frame, (which is similar to Boo or Calfee, the only other builders producing bamboo frames of this quality), I'm probably making less than a dollar an hour! What one gets for this kind of investment is a very practical, unique and extremely beautiful rolling work of functional art tailored to their physical dimensions, riding style and usage.

I rode Juan up to The Oaks on Inskip Point on Thursday to watch the sunrise. Getting out on your hand-made bamboo bike in the wee hours is a fab way to start the day. You should try it.
