As we celebrate our Youth players at Presentation Day today, we also want to recognise the incredible volunteers who have supported them every step of the way.

To our coaches and team managers, thank you for the countless hours, guidance, encouragement and care you have given throughout the season.

To our parents and families who step up week after week to fill volunteer roles, help on game day and support our teams behind the scenes, thank you.

Presentation Day is a celebration of our players, but it’s also a chance to recognise the village around them.

Our Youth program simply wouldn’t be what it is without the people who give their time so generously.

Thank you for helping make 2026 such a special season for our Vikings Youth.

Today we celebrate our Youth teams and an incredible 2026 season!

What a year for our Vikings Youth…

🏉 All 6 Youth teams made Finals
🏉 4 teams fought their way through to Grand Finals
🏆 And 1 team brought home the Premiership flag!

But beyond the results, we’re incredibly proud of the teamwork, friendships, resilience and club spirit shown by our players throughout the season.

Congratulations to every player, coach, team manager, volunteer and family who played a part in making this season such a special one.

A fantastic year for Vikings Youth and plenty to be proud of.

One week on from Grand Final weekend, and these moments still say so much. 💙

The nerves before the bounce. The teammates standing shoulder to shoulder. The quiet encouragement, the laughs, the belief in each other.

Grand Finals may be remembered for the result, but footy is about so much more than the scoreboard. It’s about belonging, friendship, camaraderie and being part of a team that shows up for one another.

One week later, that’s what we’re proudest of.

🏉 Masters AFL at Wynnum Vikings– Your Questions Answered!

We’ve had plenty of great questions about our new Men’s & Women’s Masters AFL teams, so here’s what you need to know!

👟 Can I try training before committing?
Of course! That’s exactly what our spring training is for. Come along, meet everyone, have some fun and decide if it’s for you before committing to the season.

💥 Is it full contact?
Masters AFL is still a contact sport, but it’s all about fun, fitness and enjoying the game. There are modified rules to reduce heavy contact, making it suitable for players of all experience levels.

📅 When do we train and play?
• Spring Training: Wednesdays, 6 - 7pm
• Season: April to August
• Games: Usually every second weekend
• Teams: Men’s & Women’s

🙋 I’ve never played before…
Perfect! No experience is needed. Whether you’ve never kicked a footy or haven’t played in years, we’d love to have you. Come along, learn the basics and enjoy being part of the Wynnum Vikings community.
