I wonder if we could encourage park runners to wear their parkrun shirts on Saturday, as a tribute to former Australian of the Year Professor Richard Scolyer, who was an avid park runner. He got his 250 shirt just a few months ago, as an achieved goal before he passed away. Thanks, Amanda

Hi there folks Keith and Derek here, this weeks resident RD’S are looking for volunteers to fill the following vacant slots to allow this weekend’s Wynnum Parkrun to proceed:-

Barcode scanners - 2
Marshals - 3 - Wading Pool/Turn 2 Wynnum Creek/White Railings
Course checker - 1
Photographer - 1

Another fantastic parkrun this morning! On Queensland Day☀️

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who made today’s event possible:

👏 Allana, Estelle, Ronald, Alan, Mary, Sonia, Chris, Michael, Nick, Neil, Jacinta, Tina, Lidia, Trish Ann, Crystal, Kayne and Kim.

Your time and effort ensure everyone can enjoy a safe, welcoming and enjoyable parkrun each week. We couldn’t do it without you!

Big shout-out to an awesome Parkrun crew this week! 👏

Huge thanks to our amazing volunteers: Allana, Estelle, Eva, Ronald, Suzz, Sonia, Al, Peter, Sheldon, Shaz, Nicolas, Jane, Alex, Sharon and Clint — we couldn’t do it without you.

Special mention to our pacers this week: Al, Ben, Mark, Craig, TJ,Sherry and Danny 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ helping everyone hit their goals and enjoy the run.

Congratulations Carol and thanks for celebrating 500 joyous parkruns at Wynumm 🥳

And a standout effort from Al, who stepped up into five different volunteer roles in one event — an incredible example of how easy it can be to jump in and support the Parkrun community. Absolute legend move and a great way to show others how simple and fun volunteering can be.

Congrats as well to our first male Jaco and first female Isabella finishers today 👏
