HYROX Brisbane marked the first time BMPT entered multiple teams.

Kristy McKluskey competed in the women’s open division, overcoming a tough lead-up to the event. Her determination on the day was inspiring, pushing through pain to achieve a time to be proud of.

Brendan Vearing competed in the adaptive division, showing incredible perseverance despite challenges along the way.

Donna Vearing competed in the mixed doubles division, adapting to the challenge of a fill-in partner. She and Matty persevered through adversity to achieve an outstanding result, with Donna’s incredible work ethic shining through

In the women’s open team division, Sally, Tunde, Kerri, and Cathy faced their nerves but delivered outstanding performances, stepping outside their comfort zones and giving their best.

The men’s team—Andy, Danny, Josh, and Alex—performed exceptionally well, despite limited preparation, with Danny stepping in last minute on Friday.

I also competed in the men’s pro division, and it was one of the toughest events I’ve ever done.

I want to acknowledge everyone’s dedication and training leading up to this high-level event. I’m incredibly proud of each of you. Looking forward to seeing both familiar and new faces at the next competition!

Saturday 5th November was the first BMPT tribute Boot Camp for Michael.

I would like to show my gratitude to everyone that donated and participated.
Especially those of you that drove 45-60min to be part of it.
With a turnout of 87 participants raising of over $2500 it was a fitting tribute to Michael.
In the spirit of the way Michael trained, there was so much support, encouragement, friendly rivalry and banter. Most of all it was FUN.

The workout consisted of Michael ‘s favorite Boot Camp activities.
Everything from superman’s, Burpee’s, push-ups, medicine ball relays, with a bunch of minor team games that added to the chaos and fun.

A special thank you to Tracy, Maree and Danny for all your support.

I feel blessed to be part of such a beautiful and caring community.

Burpee 4min
Executing a Burpee every 4 seconds.
Rules
1. Chest must touch the ground
2. Hips and knees must NOT touch the ground
3. An overhead clap must be executed at the completion of the Burpee
4. The full Burpee must be completed within the 4 seconds
5. If any of the above ruled are broken the current repetition does not count, and you must stop there record your score

Maximum score of 60 repetitions.

Here is the Saturday BMPT Boot Camp Team on completion of their workout.
Feeling good with smiley faces.
Connection and exercise is the key to keeping a healthy body and mind.
Moving forward into the next stage, it will be supportive to create a routine. This will allow some normality back into your life, keeping you focused on looking after yourself. Building towards the best version of you. When you are at 💯 you can give more into family, friends, work, workouts and community. Keeping the connection, as together we are strong.
