A massive congratulations to our Wyverns team that made the trip to Ballarat taking first 🥇 in the men's 3v3 Buhurts. A massive thank you to Kryal Castle for hosting the event and Daniel Cooper and Western Wolves - Ballarat Medieval Combat for organising the event.

Big thanks as well to all the supports and Marshalls that made the day possible.

Lastly a big shoutout to Western Wolves: Bendigo Chapter for an awesome hard fought final!

Another group that has been with the Fantasy Medieval Fair since its inception is the Warhounds Armoured Combat team.

South Australia’s premier Armoured Combat team is based in Port Adelaide and competes in full-contact Medieval Armoured Combat sport. They have a range of categories ranging from duels which consist of longsword, sword and shield, polearm, sword and Buckler. They also have a Profight Category (think MMA in Armour) and of course their most popular event, group fights called Buhurt ranging from 5v5 up 12v12.

At this year's Fantasy Medieval Fair we are proud to announce that the Warhounds Armoured Combat team will be having their 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗻 which is a 5 v5 Buhurt tournament and then moving onto their Buhurt SA Tournament which will be a 3 v3 Buhrt.

The teams for this tournament consists of the following:
Southern Spartans
Western Hawks
Norwood Knights
Wynn Vale Wyverns
Grey Manes
Bendigo Bandits
Mallee Dragons

Tickets are online now and will be more affordable than buying them at the gate.

TRAINING TONIGHT!

Let’s go Wyverns! Fantastic work at the Buhurt SA tournament! Such a good learning experience with lots of our guys and girls getting into armour for the first time!

Tonight it’s all about refining techniques and working on our fitness so we can fly around the list!

Training tonight will be cancelled to allow for our fighters to prepare their gear and their mind for the first Buhurt SA tournament this weekend!

We cannot wait to dominate the other teams and maintain our first place position!

On this Sunday we acknowledge the support of the City of Mount Gambier who provide us with vital infrastructure and aid to assist with the running of this event. Sponsors like this are essential to ensure the sustainability of the event, and in return, we bring people from all over the country into our little city for the event, where they eat and shop and spend money on accommodation. It's a win win!

Due to the extreme dry heat we have made the decision to cancel our session tonight for the safety of our fighters.

It’s going to be a hot one - tonight will be a light session going through 3v3 buhurt plays for our up coming tournament.

Make sure to stay hydrated and we will have sunblock on hand!
