Today marks 6 months on the road 🛻🤙🏻
Broken down that’s:
183 days 🗓
20,000+ km’s 🧮
3 states 🛂
2 seasons 🍂
Plus countless steps, national parks, beaches & beers 🏞🏖🍻

We are loving life on the road! We’ve already seen so much and we cannot wait to see what the next 6 months will bring.

Enjoy this little vid of some of our favourite places. Tell us your favourite pic and we’ll tell you where it was taken 🗺

Litchfield National Park, NT 🏞

As we start to explore Western Australia, it’s nice to reflect on all the amazing places we explored in the Northern Territory. So expect to see some more NT posts coming your way!

This National park is much smaller than some but it was one of our favourites 😍 and when you see the pictures you’ll understand why.

Litchfield National Park is full of beautiful walks, incredible natural structures & landscapes and a whole heap of really cool, croc free waterfalls 🐊🚫

We camped for two nights at Florence Falls and ticked off almost everything, ramming as much adventure as we could into our weekend.

If you have a 4WD then definitely check out the Reynolds Track. Tjaynera Falls (Sandy Creek) was our favourite find 💙🛻

Locations in order of pics:
📍Tjaynera Falls (Sandy Creek)
📍Wangi Falls
📍Florence Falls
📍The Lost City
📍Tjaetaba Falls
📍Bamboo Creek Tin Mine
📍Magnetic Termite Mounds

G’Day WA!

Here we are, our 3rd state in 5 months, but safe to say we’ll be in this one for a while!

Did you know that Western Australia accounts for 33% of Australia’s land mass and has almost 13,000km of mainland coast 🌊
The longest coastline of all the Australian states and territories!
So on that note I think it’s time to dive right in 🏊🏻‍♀️

We’ve also only very recently discovered the absolute importance of information centres…I know crazy right!
In this day and age with everything at our finger tips I can’t tell you how much easier it is to ask someone who knows the area best and to collect these incredible magazines to read📚

Here are my top 3 reasons for picking up these magazines:
1. There is a wealth of knowledge in each one that helps to plan ahead 🤓💡
2. They don’t require wifi, so when we’re in a dead zone I can still find the answers we need 🗺
3. They make a great base for a campfire when you’re done with them 😉🪵

Darwin appreciation post ❤️

We’ve been lucky enough to call Darwin home for the last three months 🏠
It was our first stop on the road to find work, but it offered us so much more than that.

Today we’re finally leaving Darwin to continue our trip around the Northern Territory and beyond. But first we wanted to say thank you, for all the amazing food, beautiful sunsets & lifelong friendships 👯‍♀️

Next stop Kakadu National Park, NT 📍

What’s it called when a lizard can’t have s*x?
A reptile dysfunction🦎 (I’ll see myself out)

Today we did a VIP tour of in Darwin, and it did not disappoint! 💚
It was a guided tour with one of the Cove’s handlers, and included holding a baby croc named Little Leo, feeding Burt the movie star, feeding more baby crocs and handling various other reptiles 🐍🐊

If you ever find yourself in Darwin, we’d definitely recommend checking this place out!

How’s this for a close call?!

That tail came a bit too close 😬 this is a huge 5m salt water crocodile called “Stumpy” 🐊

We’re jumping for joy that we finally went on a jumping crocodile cruise here in Darwin 💚

Such a fantastic way to see these majestic beasts 🐊 (from a short distance)(though we came very close to a tail whiplash - video to come) 😬

Some of these dinosaurs were over 5m long and 80 years of age.
Fun fact - their bite force is 6 tonne!
That’s stronger than a great white shark 🦈

Thank you The Original Adelaide River Queen Jumping Crocodile Cruises - a huge bucket list item ticked ✅

As The Jam once said “I’m going underground (going underground)” 🎶

Coober Pedy, South Australia is where 50% of the towns population live beneath the surface. The reason - to avoid the hot summers & cold winters.

Coober Pedy accounts for 80% of the worlds opals 💎 but boy is it a strange town!

Here’s some of the places we visited:

📍The Big Winch
📍The underground Catholic church
📍The underground Serbian church
📍The Old Timers Mine
📍The spaceship from the film ‘Pitch Black’

Sadly saying goodbye to the stunning in

We’ve spent one week exploring this region and it’s beautiful landscapes.
We’ve seen 600 million year old rock, 5000 year old Aboriginal drawings, sunrises & sunsets, gorges (a lot of gorges), lots of wildlife from these lovely camels to the extremely rare yellow footed rock wallabies! 🐪💛

We came, we saw, we hiked 🏞
Thank you Flinders!

27/04/2021

Yesterday was our first Sunrise 🌅 it was beautiful on top of Mt Little in the Flinders ranges, but we realised...we’re definitely sunset people 😂 we went back to bed straight after!

What about you? Team sunrise or sunset ?
