Vanguard - Historical Reenactment Guild http://www.reenactmentguild.com/ We also actively encourage our members to try to find ways to accurately portray the part of history which they like.

We are an organisation with an emphasis on combat throughout history, however we do not limit ourselves only to the warrioir lifestyle. Although we adopted the word ‘medieval’ in our name we use this to suggest everything in European history where a sword, shield or other primitive weapons were used.

We had a blast (😉) at the Newcastle Medieval Festival this weekend just past!

We trotted out our siege equipment, took some shots and fort scratchy, and when the cartridges ran out, we took to the field with sword and spear; to whack old friends as well as new!!

No construction video this time, someone forgot the good camera!

Now all that's left is to finish the bucket and sew the sling, and we should be ready to launch the first shot. Surely we'll remember to film that, right?
