Qigong with Kathy

Qigong with Kathy You will experience the benefits of Qigong gentle physical movements that will harmonise your mind, body and breath.

Classes will be held in a supportive and positive environment with your trained instructor, Kathy. Qigong can be thought of as a movement you do for a certain situation, as opposed to tai chi form, which is a series of movements that work on the entire body in a flowing sequence

Eat with the Season β€” Winter

Winter invites us to slow down, rest more deeply, and nourish ourselves with warming, sustaining foods.

In Chinese medicine, winter is linked with the Kidney and Bladder systems β€” our foundation of energy, resilience, and restoration. This is the season to conserve energy rather than push through exhaustion.

One of the simplest ways to support your health in winter is to eat with the season.

β€’ Choose warm, cooked meals such as soups, stews, casseroles, and roasted vegetables
β€’ Use warming spices like ginger, cinnamon, and chai spices to support circulation and digestion
β€’ Reduce excessive cold foods and icy drinks to help protect your digestive fire

Eating seasonally also means enjoying produce when it’s naturally abundant, fresher, and often more nutritious.

The Sydney Markets winter seasonal guide is a wonderful resource for discovering what’s currently in season locally:

If you’d like to explore winter self-care more deeply, my upcoming Winter Seasonal Self-Care Workshop on June 28 in Katoomba will explore:
β€’ Winter foods and Chinese dietetics
β€’ Rest, restoration, and protecting energy
β€’ Qigong practices for winter wellbeing
β€’ Simple seasonal rituals and self-care practices

Early bird pricing is currently available.
