The Wunghnu Bowls Club is rocking this season and we welcome new bowlers. We’ve got teams across three Divisions — Div 1, Div 2 and Div 4 — so whether you’re looking to improve your game or just enjoy a relaxed roll, we’ve got you covered.

GREAT WEEKEND AWAY!

Three Wunghnu teams travelled to Moulamein Bowls Club this weekend for their Classic two-day tournament.
Thanks to Spike & Rooster from Barham Bowls Club and Walshy from Shepparton Park Bowls Club for joining us.

We didn’t take home the big prize, but had a fantastic two days — and it’s always great to get out and support another bowls club.

The Wunghnu Bowls Club isn’t just about playing bowls. It’s about the mateship too — being the local hub where people come to catch up, watch some good bowls (and bad, lol 😊), support the club and have a chat.

One of our regular supporters is Ron “Silver” Davy, a bowling legend in the region who still comes across to catch up with everyone at Wunghnu BC and pass on his wisdom.

Silver was inducted into the Murray Bowls Hall of Fame back in 2022, and there’s a plaque honouring him at the Katandra West Bowls Club.

We love seeing people enjoy our little club with a big heart.

Well done to our Josh Cartwright on being part of the Victorian Development Team that defeated NSW in the NSW vs Victoria Test Series.

And to cap it off — it was Josh’s 20th birthday today! 🎂 What a birthday present! 🥳
