Congratulations to Woori Black 13’s on winning the Grand Final yesterday! 🏀👏

A huge congratulations to Levi, who was voted MVP by the parents AND UYBA MVP for 13&U👏🏀
Congratulations to Jacob, who took home the Coaches Award for his incredible improvement throughout the season 🏆

For this team, it marks the end of an era. They’ve been playing together since rookies, with a few changes along the way, but the core group has achieved so much over the years, multiple Grand Final wins, players voted UYBA MVPs and MVP runners-up for their age groups, and so much growth both on and off the court.

Watching these boys develop their skills, confidence and love for the game has been such a privilege. Eight years of memories, friendships, challenges and achievements. We hope you’ve enjoyed the journey as much as we have. 💙

And with the end of this chapter, we also farewell one of the most passionate coaches I’m sure many of you have had the opportunity to hear, possibly from the other side of the stadium! 🤭😂

Dan, thank you for the countless hours, dedication and passion you’ve given these players over the years. You’ve helped encourage and shape them by sharing your love and knowledge of the game, and I know they’ll take plenty of that with them into whatever comes next. 🏀💙

We wish all of these players the very best as they step into the next phase of their basketball journey. We know you’ll absolutely smash it! 👊🏀

🏀 Start of Season Reminder – Code of Conduct 🏀

As we kick off a new basketball season, it’s a great time to remind everyone: players, coaches, families, and supporters that our club is committed to creating a positive, respectful, and safe environment for all.

Every person who steps onto the court has the right to feel safe, supported, and to enjoy the game, whether it’s at training or on game day. Basketball is about teamwork, growth, and fun, and we all play a role in making that happen.

Let’s remember to:
✔️ Show respect to teammates, opponents, coaches, and officials
✔️ Encourage and support one another
✔️ Keep sideline behaviour positive
✔️ Play fair and with good sportsmanship

Together, we can make this season one where everyone feels welcome and proud to be part of our Club.
