Feeling very grateful and proud to receive this award today from the Action Martial Arts Hall of Honors 2024 (United States of America) as a recipient of the Elite Honorable Warrior Award for my contribution to martial arts, self defence and defensive tactics over the past 40 years teaching civilians, police, law enforcement, military and special forces throughout the world.

I sincerely appreciate those individuals and organisations from the martial arts communities in Australian, United States and globally who endorsed my nomination for this award. I’m very humbled and honoured so thank you 🙏🙏

Congratulations to Brad who was graded at last nights class to 8th Kyū - 八級 Hakkyū.
Since joining Bujinkan Jissen Dojos Sunshine Coast Brad has worked very hard, putting in 100% effort.
This grading is a testament to his attitude, determination and willingness to learn.

At last nights Redcliffe class Peter was graded to 6th Kyū – Rokkyū (六級).

Peter has been training very hard since he joined our dojo several years ago and over the past 6-12 months he has been extremely diligent in his attendance and determination to enhance his skills and knowledge. Peter has been also putting in many hours of training and study outside of the dojo and this was obvious at last night’s class with his understanding and skills pertaining to the Fundo Kusari (分銅鎖).

Please join me in congratulating Peter on his grading which was well and truly deserved.

This latest masterpiece by DaiShihan Alex Esteve is truly a beautiful piece of art and a testament to his dedication and respect for Soke, and the Bujinkan. If you can get your hands on this book then it’ll definitely be a welcome addition to your library and it’ll allow you a much deeper understanding of the arts that we study.

This book is 10/10 however, the only thing I’d add is it would have been even more incredible if it was in hardcover like so many of Alex’s previous outstanding books.

After returning from my recent training in Japan it was nice to arrive home to find my copy of Gyokko Ryu Legacy and Techniques by Soke Ishizuka Tetsuji.

This book is outstanding in its content, historical significance and the overall design and quality of the book is exceptional. To everyone involved in the creation of this masterpiece I say thank you very much for your vision, dedication and producing a book of superior quality.
