Main gym floor back up and running from 3.30pm today (Tues 28th Oct)

**IMPORTANT NOTICE**

Dear Helfi Members
Due to yesterday's (Sunday 26th Oct) Heavy rain and hail, we have had the need to close the main gym floor section.

We're currently working through it aiming to have it all back up in running by tomorrow (Tuesday 28th evening).

In the meantime the front section of the gym is accessible.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused. And send our gratitude for your understanding.

Unfortunately, while we were lucky enough to avoid flooding, we did have an unexpected event where water from next door had entered our front section of the gym and soaked up all the carpet under our gym rubber mats. This occurred on Monday and since then we have worked tirelessly to mitigate damage, and get the front area of our gym mostly workable. Thank you to some amazing clients who lent a huge hand, moving heavy machines and equipment, and those wet rubber floor mats.

Unfortunately wet carpet, does take a while to dry, especially in walk ways. The only time we can do this uninterrupted is when it is safe of no foot traffic and have our fans blowing.

So for the next few days, we will need to close our gym at 7.30pm of an evening and re-open at 5.30am to fix this situation. We are doing our utmost best to prevent inconvenience to our loyal members, and appreciate your patience until we are back to 24/7 in the next few days

A quick update from our end.

Helfi Gym Is Now Open and will be Closing 7.30pm Tonight and Re-Open again 5.30am Tomorrow Morning.

This is Due to further risks and consideration to
1) Flooding (as we will sandbag the front door again overnight)
2) Power Outages of an evening.

We will maintain a Sensible Helfi Team Supervised Approach to the gym operating hours until It Is Safe To Open 24/7.

Hopefully this will be the case for this evening only, but we are on high alert, as we must still be cautious of not putting anyone at risk, especially of an evening.

After yesterday's severe local flooding, there are clear signs of drains on the fringe of further flooding around the local area. Our local water systems are very full...

We must continue to give priority consideration for the safety of our Helfi Team, Clients, Property and Community. Not to further burden the team and our clients with temptation during this ongoing potentially high risk time, we feel it's only prudent to continue to remain focussed on staying safe, and manage opening hours without risky speculation.

Our thoughts will continue to be with you all and especially those doing it tough...

Once the absolute risk of Flash Flooding and Power Outages Of An Evening is diminished, we will be back to normal 24/7 operations.

A quick update from our end.

Hopefully the worst of the winds is over. But must still be cautious.

With constant rain now, there are clear signs of drains on the fringe of flooding around the local area. We must continue to keep an eye closely on water levels now, as the high seas and ocean waves are said to be holding the local rivers, creeks and drains up, keeping storm water levels higher than usual.

And there lies the risk of flash flooding and power outages.

We remain alert with a big storm water drain on the road right in front of the gym door. So we will be keeping the sandbags on the front door of the gym as a precaution for at least another 24 hours to 48 hours, even though we have never been flooded. Just never know.

And the risk of power outages is still a strong possibility.

We have been following this source over the last few days, and they seem to have a more accurate prediction and understanding without the hype...

Due to predicted risks associated with Cyclone Alfred, we’ve closed access for the next 24 hours (maybe beyond) in consideration for the safety of our Helfi Team, Clients, Property and Community.

Not to burden the team and our clients with the temptation to leave their safe homes, during this potentially high risk time, we feel its only prudent we focus on staying safe, and no focus on speculation.
