Hi All,
As there has been little interest from the community in joining the Australian National Goanna Pulling Championships Committee, it appears this event may not proceed this year. Time is running out if this event is to be held in October. Final Call for people to nominate for a committee position. Here's hoping we can get Wooli's signature event back on track after the last couple of years with Covid disruption. Looking forward to hearing from interested community members.

Annual General Meeting
Aust National Goanna Pulling Championships (ANGPC) Committee

Please be advised there will be an AGM on September 26th at 3pm at the Wooli Bowling Club. All welcome to attend. All committee positions will be up for grabs so come along and join the committee.

Positions available to nominate for include:
President, Vice-president, Marketing/ Media, Secretary,
Treasurer, Public Officer, Events Officer
The AGM will be followed by the first ANGPC committee meeting.

Hi All,
At the Australian National Goanna Pulling Committee Meeting yesterday it was decided that due to uncertainty in regard to COVID, insurance, sponsorship etc the Goanna Pulling Championships for this year have been postponed until the October Long Weekend 2023.
We are holding an AGM on Sept 26 at 3pm at the bowling club in Wooli should anyone want to come along and join the committee or put their hand up for a committee position.

2020 Australian National Goanna Pulling Championships Postponed until 2021

Hi All,
It is with much regret that the ANGPC committee has decided that due to the uncertainty of COVID-19, among other factors, that we have decided to postpone the 2020 Australian National Goanna Pulling Championships this year.

We hope to see you all back in Wooli on the October long weekend in 2021. In the meantime, please all take care during these crazy times.

MASSIVE THANKYOU TIME.....!!

Brenda Little- emcee extraordinaire. Love your work Brenda, thanks for helping keeping everything running along smoothly.

Greg Little- photographer extraordinaire. Most of the photos you will see from the day were taken by Greg who got right into the action and showcased what a great day it was. Thanks again Greg, unreal job.

And a massive thankyou for those volunteers who stepped up at the last minute to assist in the succesful running of the day. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes, including setup in the dark in the early hours, and volunteers are still there close to sundown dismantling marquees etc so the grounds are free for the next day. GREAT WORK EVERYONE, WHAT AN UNREAL TEAM....!!

And a massive thankyou for those volunteers who stepped up at the last minute to assist in the succesful running of the day.

Well this is it folks......
At 9am tomorrow the cultural highlight of the Clarence Valley gets underway. The Australian National Goanna Pulling Championships commence at 9am at the Wooli Sports Ground. Gold coin entry to get into the gate. Heaps of market stalls, food vendors and kids entertainment. Tug-o-war, wood chop, kids and adult events......
And of course the reason we all get together every October long weekend, GOANNA PULLING......!!
