How are you all going out there team? It can be challenging to stay motivated whilst training on your own without your usual team to get you going. Try this before your next session:

Set a timer for 5 minutes (the app insight timer is a great tool)

Sit in an upright position, spine tall and straight, back of neck long. Close the eyes.

Simply absorb your attention on the sensation of breathing in and then breathing out for 3 minutes and sit in stillness for the last 2 with your attention focussed at the midbrain.

You’ll remove distractions, negative or unmotivated thoughts and feelings from the mind and it’ll be much easier for you to train without that added drag from the mind. :)

Let us know how you go!

How are you feeling right now? There’s been a lot of change and emotions can be fast changing and very strong. The best thing you can do for yourself is feel and express them. You don’t need to hide them from people to seem strong. During this time when we are experiencing strong emotions when we don’t tell people our fears and express what we are feeling it is only a matter of time before it expresses as outbursts of anger or frustration. Underneath anger and frustration is very often the feeling of fear and anxiety. It’s ok to be fearful and anxious in this time and it’s even more so ok to tell people, most importantly those close to you. When you can be accepting of how you feel, it will lessen the feeling so you can get back to feeling safe and calm 💗

Remember - you are safe, you are loved. 🌸

One of the best things you can do for your immune system is to have your nervous system in the state of rest and digest as often as possible instead of flight/flight/freeze. You have control over that. Let us show you at yoga tonight 🌸

We run a Bodyweight strength class each Saturday morning at 7:30am. Featuring working her pull-up strength with correct shoulder position 😎

Why? When we slow things down we get a chance to correct and perfect positions of the shoulder in our movements to create great shoulder health. Do your shoulders roll forward or do you hunch over in your pull-ups, ring rows or chest to bar? When we do many reps this way you create imbalances in the body and this leads to injury.

See you next Saturday to create some healthy shoulder strength for you 😏
