On the eve of Christmas & Holiday Season.....

Mid Breeding Season......

I have had a couple of conversations with bigger corporations that have left me more than frustrated with the status quo of late.... and it has spent me into a tail spin of why?

As a small business owner / entrepreneur, I try my hardest to support those around me, small business people, and just people in my community. I never question the cost. The little bit extra it might cost me to shop local, will no doubt support a family within the community and if those in the community are doing well than they will then spend with me. It's a circle.

However, small businesses are hard. It doesn't matter how much you calculate, set aside, predict there is always something you overlooked, didn't think about.

But trust me, there is always someone else with their hand out expecting to get paid for the very small if anything contribution of all my hard work.... I wish those conversations I had of late, were out their working horses in the rain or driving stupid hours just to balance your dreams with the reality of still having to show up to work or missing time with family and friends to do stuff that I just couldn't fit into the usual 9 to 5, than I could justify the reason for their hand out, the need for prompt and speedy payment....

Atm the moment, my sanity is on the edge. Time will tell which side it will fall.

My new 2025 Weekly Planner and Daily Planner arrived today in
Maroon Gilded Magic & Evergreen Gilded Magic.....

I would usually opt for black or pink, and never gold but, cause I feel Magic is the only thing getting me through 2025, as I already have big important 2025 dates clashing :/ and we haven't ever got to the end of 2024.

If 2024 hasn't been wild enough, 2025 is certainly going to take the cake......

Juggling, 2 small businesses, and project managing farm rebuild, 4 1/2 horses in training for various things dressage throu to harness, breeding and farm maintenance of 20 acres plus uni and my small family..... things have been hectic, and 2025 looks like it's going to be the same.

What a way to wrap up the end of the week, month, financial year......

2 lessons with our harness coach. Jess out solo, and Jess and Gus out Tandem.

After a rough start to the day and bucket loads of rain, we finally got to Greta to do our lessons, and yes, it rained pretty much the whole day

First up, Jess Solo, as we try, nut out where we fit for some upcoming driven dressage (we haven't done this before but keen to give it ago) we ticked some boxes and were able to get some positive feedback and some homework.

Then wrapped up the day with a Tandem Lesson, and Jess was an absolute superstar out front this time, not a foot out of place, thanks to our homework paying off, so much so we were able to start a little work on fine tuning and plenty of encouragement to do dressage as the Tandem, just not 100% sure if I am that confident yet lol.

It's always good to catch up with my fellow harness club members and share tips and stories of our successes, failures, and learning. Massive thank you to Ally and Margie for making these days happen & Kim for all her patience with me and my ponies.

I am making full use of the fact I have some harness school masters and learning all I can, but the reality is I need a third one to ideally match Jess in work ethic. And possibly a new sulky to give my ponies a bit more room between the shafts.

We are a little over a week away from NSW Pole Sport Championships , mpole has a team Sami Keyes Leu Mac & Kelly Peach in the Groups division and I am, as a soloist competing in the Master Division..... My solo is all about the costume and not much else, so I suggest you grab tickets before they sell out
