Join us on Saturday 17 October as we come together to celebrate the year at Woodville Hockey Club.

Presentation Night is our chance to recognise the achievements of our teams, players, coaches, managers, volunteers and supporters, and celebrate the people who make Woodville such a great club.

It’s been another big year with continued growth across the club and plenty to celebrate both on and off the pitch.

We’d love to see as many players, families, and supporters of the club there as possible.

Vale Jan Kuhl

Jan and the Kuhl family have made a significant and lasting contribution to Woodville Hockey Club and the wider Hockey SA community over many years.

The Kuhl family warmly invite members of the Hockey SA fraternity to join them in celebrating Jan’s life on Sunday, 20 September.

It will be an opportunity to come together, remember Jan, share stories and celebrate the wonderful contribution she made to our hockey community.

Our thoughts are with the Kuhl family at this very sad time.

This weekend the Metro 5 Women are playing their semi final and the Metro 1 Men are playing the quarter final. Look forward to seeing lots of green and gold out supporting!!!!

🏆 OVER 75 WORLD CHAMPION 🇦🇺

Apparently nobody told Michael Langan that you’re supposed to slow down as you get older 💚💛

Michael has just represented Australia at the Over 75 Hockey World Cup — and came home a WORLD CHAMPION! 🥇🌏

An outstanding achievement and a pretty good reminder to the rest of us that there's no need to retire.

From everyone at Woodville Hockey Club, congratulations Michael. Playing for Australia is special. Winning a World Cup is something else entirely.

Michael was part of a strong South Australian contingent in the Australian team alongside Rodney Dyson, Winton Inkster, Kevin Keep, Colin Ball and Robert McNeil, with fellow South Australian Jeff Waite coaching the side. A fantastic result for Hockey SA.

Metro 1 Men and Metro 5 Women are through to the finals!

Metro 5 Women's goal scorers, Vicki and Rachel sent the team into the semi final with a heart stopping 2-1 win over North East. Rachel scoring the equaliser with Vicki finishing off the game winning clutch pass from Navsimer Basra with less than 2 minutes on the clock.

The Metro 1 Men's team are through to the quarter final after taking out their 2nd round of minor finals against Forestville.

Finals match time will be out shortly and we would love to see all the green and gold out supporting the two teams next weekend.

The debatable dead set A grade legend of the Metro 6 Men's team, BRONTE WOODWARD is raising money towards awareness for depression and su***de by doing the Black Dog Ride.

Bronte will be riding his trusty petrol powered steed for 2 and half weeks all the way up to Cairns with his best mate Winstin (pictured on the bike).

🌟Congratulations to two of our Green Machine stars, Nicholas and Margarita🌟

Nicholas has been selected in the School Sport SA 12 years and under boys team to compete at the School Sport Australia Championships in Newcastle, NSW from October 25-30.

Margarita was selected as a train on for the School Sport SA 12 years and under girls team, which is a huge achievement as she is still eligible next year and certain to be in the team.

We wish Nicholas all the best with the championships in October and look forward to him performing well.

We're certain that Margarita will be impressive as she joins the girls team for all of their preparation and expect to see her traveling with the team next year.

Congratulations to Josephine Johnson, half of our amazing dynamic U12 girls coaching team. Jo has been accepted into the 2026 Marjorie Jackson-Nelson Centre for Women's Sport Program. Jo will over the next 12 months complete the program that is designed to support and empower female athletes, coaches, officials, administrators, board members, volunteers and support members to play, lead and contribute to sport for future generations.
