Get them out of that round pen and arena!

More and more I see horses that have never been ridden outside of the working arena..
This boggles my mind! Grab a friend and go on trail ride people!

Last week I took my extremely green broke gelding (less then a dozen rides) on a 3 hour trail ride.
He has never been up close to other horses being ridden, never been in the bush, never been ridden away from home. How did he go? Started out a little shy and unsure but 30 minutes in he was a professional.

all of my horses have been 10x better in the arena since I started regular trail rides. Why?
What does trail riding accomplish

Confidence building
Team work
Desensitisation
Miles under saddle without the ‘it’s work time’ attitude.
Not to mention it’s great for socialisation and fitness training.

Whether it’s taking some time to cruise around outside the confines of the arena or floating out for a trail, let this be your push to go and do it. Your horse will thank you

After several years off working in the Thoroughbred industry I am now returning to Lessons and Training.

Lessons are available on my property in Elimbah or I can come to you. School horses available to learn on for those starting out and don’t have their own horse yet.

I will also be available for hourly riding at your property to put miles and education on green horses or even just bringing older horses back into work for the upcoming show season.

This gorgeous little fella is looking for a new 🏡.

Approx 12.3hh bay Australian Riding Pony gelding.
Good doer, great feet and easy to catch, trim, rug and float. Has had shoes on before, but doesn't need them.
Experienced in Pony club, trails, low level jumps and handled by kids with supervision.
Needs a confident rider as he is forward moving and can be a tricky pony if he thinks his rider doesn't know.
Snaffle mouth, excellent to mount/dismount.
Lovely pony that would excel at pony club or even pony dressage with some regular work.

It’s been a while since our last update!

A bit late.. but our lovely Zarahemla Zeniff showed at the Arabian Summer Show held by AHAQ in February and came home with Supreme purebred under saddle. Proud is an understatement! This was Zar’s second ever ridden show with extremely little prep, I just love the temperament of this boy.
