ABK Dojo Rules:

1/ Dojo means "A sacred place" - Respect must be shown

2/ Do not wear shoes on the dojo training area

3/ Do not enter class la

te or leave early without acknowledgement of the highest ranked instructor in the class

4/ No swearing, actions of disrespect or breaching of rules

5/ Always train with the true attitude of Bushido

6/ Never misuse fighting skills and always help others

7/ Bow when entering or leaving training area of the dojo

8/ Always address senior ranks by their correct titles

9/ When putting on or removing belt students should kneel on their right knee

10/ Higher ranks should endeavour to set a good example for lower ranks

11/ During training there should be no idle talking between students

12/ During training students should be aware of their level of intensity of training and ensure it is at an appropriate level when partnered with another student, taking into consideration the other students' rank and ability

13/ All students are to wear protective equipment when required - mouth guard, hand mitts and shin/instep protectors

A Collection of images from last Thursday Nights ABK Class with Shinden John & Dai Sempai Glen. Each student received a higher level of self defence training due to the enhanced knowledge levels of these higher ranks, OSU!

Shinden John is scheduled to attend again and share his martial arts knowledge to all students on Thursday 25th June 2026, 6.30pm - 8.00pm at the Woodford ABK Dojo.

📣 Special Martial Arts Class Announcement – ABK Woodford Dojo

This Thursday, 11th June 2026, we are excited to host a very special training session at the ABK Woodford Dojo.

We are honoured to welcome Shinden John – 10th Dan, Head of the ABK Greater Sunshine Coast Region, as our special guest instructor for this event.

This will be a 1.5-hour open class suitable for students of all ranks, from beginners through to advanced grades. It’s a great opportunity to experience high-level instruction and deepen your training.

🥋 New students are also very welcome
If you’re considering starting martial arts or improving your self-defence skills, this is a perfect chance to come along, observe, or take part and see what ABK training is all about.
