Jess is the absolute definition of a true club person, tracking an incredible pathway from a dominant junior career at the Woodend Junior Football Netball Club right through to our senior program. Her relentless defensive pressure, exceptional read on the play, and team-first attitude have made her a cornerstone of our netball community.

A fantastic night celebrating our U17 footballers and netballers, their achievements and a great season together.

Congratulations to all our award winners, and a special thank you to the coaches, team managers, trainers, volunteers and families who supported the teams throughout the year.

Dear Junior Hawk families,

A friendly reminder that our annual AGM will be held at the Gilbert Gordon Clubrooms on Wednesday 2nd of September 2026, from 7pm.

Behind every game day is a village of amazing volunteers who help create a positive, inclusive environment where young people in our community can grow, build confidence, learn teamwork and resilience, and develop friendships that last well beyond the season.

The committee is a small reflection of the amazing families we have at this club. Working on the committee is incredibly rewarding. If you are interested in joining the committee in any capacity, please reach out.

Week 1 of Finals is locked in! Four Hawks teams are flying into the postseason after an incredible home-and-away campaign. Here is where our teams finished on the ladder and what lies ahead on their path to the Grand Final:

⭐️A Grade Netball (Qualifying Final – Sat 22nd, 1:45 PM @ Kyneton Showgrounds)
Finished: 1st (Minor Premiers)
Path to GF: Chasing history! Our dominant A-Graders are hunting their 5th straight Grand Final appearance and a massive 4th premiership flag in a row. Finishing top of the ladder gives them the double chance—a win against 2nd-placed Wallan locks in a Major Semi-Final spot for a direct shot at the Big Dance!

⭐️D Grade Netball (Elimination Final – Sun 23rd, 9:00 AM @ Greenhill Reserve, Wallan)
Finished: 6th
Path to GF: It’s do-or-die knockout netball! Facing 3rd-placed Lancefield, a win keeps the season alive and moves them into Semi-Final 1—requiring win-or-go-home victories all the way through to the Big Dance.

⭐️C Grade Netball (Elimination Final – Sun 23rd, 10:00 AM @ Greenhill Reserve, Wallan)
Finished: 6th
Path to GF: Sudden death from week one! Our C-Graders take on 3rd-placed Gisborne Giants, where victory is mandatory to stay in the race for premiership glory.

⭐️U19.5 Football (Elimination Final – Sun 23rd, 10:15 AM @ Romsey Park)
Finished: 4th
Path to GF: Elimination football for our young Hawks! Crossing paths with 5th-placed Wallan, a win advances them straight into the next knockout round on the road to Grand Final day.

Get down to Kyneton, Wallan, and Romsey this weekend to wear the Brown & Gold loud and proud! 💛🤎

Firstly, well done to all of our teams that competed in yesterday's grand finals. Though the results didn't go our way, you can all be incredibly proud of the year you have had and the way you represent our great club.

It was incredible to see so many people back at the GG clubrooms yesterday afternoon. What a great community we have here at the Hawks!

As we have now wrapped up the season, a reminder, that the WJFNC welcomes players and parents to the 2026 Presentation Day.
