Woodend Bowling Club New members and visitors are always welcome for competitive bowls, social bowls or social activities

The Woodend Bowling Club was established in 1890 in the beautiful village environment of the township of Woodend, in the picturesque Macedon Ranges. We are a small club with a friendly and social atmosphere, and you are welcome to come and join to play, competitively or socially, or simply enjoy great company. New members and visitors are always welcome for competitive bowls, social bowls or social activities, and we will go out of our way to make you feel at home. If you are looking for a place to hold a function or enjoy 'Bare Foot Bowls' with friends, family and colleagues, we have plenty of options available.

It is with great sadness that I pass on the fact that Joy Thompson has passed away

Joy and husband Frank were both Life Members of the Woodend Bowling Club, which is a testament to the fantastic commitment that they made to the club over many years

They moved to Bendigo several years ago but have remained in contact with the club

Joy was nearly 93 years of age on passing and had been married to 94 year old Frank for 73 years

I have passed on our best wishes to the family on behalf of our club

The funeral is planned to be at Scott’s in Kyneton Friday week July 31 and I will confirm more information when I receive it
