🏀This week we are proud to recognise Karlie Goodison as our Volunteer of the Week!

Karlie currently team manages for U16SS boys, and has been a valued part of the Woodend Hawks community for the past four years. Throughout that time, she has generously volunteered as TM for both of her boys' teams at various stages of their basketball journey with Hawks.

Karlie doesn't stop at basketball - she is actively involved in supporting sport and volunteering initiatives across our broader community, always willing to lend a hand when needed.

Thank you Karlie, for your ongoing contribution to the Woodend Hawks and our community.

As always, a huge shout out to The Vic Hotel for generously donating our weekly prize, so we can reward the amazing efforts of our volunteer team.

Congratulations to Mel Rollinson on being named Runner Up in the Contribution to Sport and Wellbeing category at the Macedon Ranges Celebrating Community Awards.

While serving on the MRBA committee, Mel also served on the Hawks committee for 6 years in various roles. She has made an incredible contribution to our local children through sport.

Thank you, Mel for everything that you have done for Woodend Hawks.

🏀Volunteer of the Week🏀
This week we are celebrating Hawks legend Ben Cu***ng.

Ben is a multi premiership coach, coaching both the 12.4 boys and 10.1 girls to grand final glory. Ben was also instrumental in bringing our U10 girls program to life — an incredible achievement! 💙💛

Beyond coaching, Ben also gave his time on the committee and is always the first to put his hand up to help. Whether it’s running games at our end-of-year celebrations or making trips into the city to pick up uniforms, nothing is ever too much trouble.

As a coach, players and parents alike appreciate his calm, steady approach — helping the players build confidence, understand the game, and develop their skills in a supportive environment.

Thanks for everything you do, Ben — our club is better because of you! 🙌
