🏏 Playing Coach Wanted

After a successful run at the Burrow the past few years, the club is entering a new period coming into the 26/27 season with a rebuild on the horizon.
With a change in the playing group and injection of youth that will be keeping us older players young, we are excited to see what this season brings.

Woodbridge Cricket Club is seeking an experienced and passionate Playing Coach to join our coaching team for the 2026/27 season and beyond.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute on and off the field by helping lead and develop our playing group while continuing your own playing career.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A high level of playing experience
• A commitment to player development and team success
• A positive attitude and passion for the game

Remuneration is available and will be discussed with the interested parties.

With the 2026/27 season fast approaching, there’s been a few changes for the W.C.C Committee this season.
We would like to welcome the new committee !
All of us are excited to see what the year brings, and are working hard behind the scenes in preparation on what is sure to be another cracker of a season !

Fantastic evening celebrating the club’s success at the HCCA awards night!!

Congrats to all the winners, Team of the Year players and of course B Grade for coming home with their premiership flag!!

A few stand out milestones were achieved during our finals campaigns!!

- President and long term servant of the club Deans Bloomfield achieving 3000 runs
- B Grade Captain/Leader/Coach Clayton Braddick achieving 1000 runs for the club
- Sir Gregory Downes also recording his 1000th run in what was a stellar year for the great man

At last night’s annual presentation, the Club was delighted to award Life Membership to Jeremy Patterson.
‘Patto’ joined Woodbridge in 2010 and has played over 200 matches for the Club. He has served as Secretary, President and Captain during this time.
A great servant for the Club over many years.

213 matches
3824 runs (5th on the all time Club records)
103 wickets
50 T20 matches
Only the 16th life membership awarded in the history of Woodbridge

The season has come to a close but there’s one thing left to do and that’s celebrate, not only our successful year as a club but also some stand out individual performances throughout the season!

We don’t want people to go hungry so it’s important we get a pretty good idea of numbers.
