💜💚 Tomorrow is a big day for WDNA. 💚💜

After years of planning and advocacy, we’re excited to celebrate the official opening of the new pavilion at Wonthaggi Recreation Reserve.

This facility will support generations of players, families, coaches, umpires and volunteers and represents an exciting step forward for netball in our community.

We’d love to see plenty of familiar WDNA faces there tomorrow.

Inclusion is about more than netball.

It's about friendship, respect, support and belonging.

Thank you to every player, coach, umpire, volunteer, parent and supporter who helps make WDNA the community it is today.

At WDNA, netball is for everyone.

Our players come from different schools, clubs, backgrounds and experiences, but they all share a love of the game.

This Inclusion Round (Saturday 20 June), we celebrate the young people who make our courts such a welcoming place to be.

Everyone belongs at WDNA.

One last walk off the court. One last huddle. One last game for our rep teams.

Today wasn’t about winning a tournament … it was about becoming a team. And what a team you’ve become. 💜💚

Our teams represented WDNA with pride, determination, sportsmanship and plenty of smiles. We couldn’t be prouder of the way you supported each other and wore the WDNA colours today.

The results will be forgotten, but the friendships, memories and lessons will stay with you forever. 🏐

Today our WDNA 13&U and 15&U rep teams take to the courts at Association Championships in Moe.

We are incredibly proud of the commitment, effort and growth these players have shown throughout the rep season. Today is your chance to enjoy the experience, back your teammates and showcase everything you’ve worked so hard for.

Every umpire starts with a first game.

Today was Steph’s turn. 🏐👏

After countless hours supporting WDNA behind the scenes as our Secretary, Steph took her first step into umpiring and gave it a go on court.

Community netball only happens because people are willing to put their hand up, learn and support each other.

Congratulations, Steph … and thanks for everything you do for WDNA. 💜💚

🍊 EVER WONDERED WHAT FUELS JUNIOR NETBALL? 🏐

After extensive research at WDNA today, we’ve identified the key food groups required for peak junior netball performance:

🍬 Lollies
🍭 More lollies
🍫 A few extra lollies just in case

… with the occasional appearance of:

🍊 Orange slices
🍇 Grapes
🍉 Watermelon
🍓 Strawberries

Scientific evidence remains inconclusive as to whether the fruit is consumed voluntarily or simply serves as a pathway to the lolly containers. 🤔

A huge thank you to all the amazing parents, grandparents, coaches and team managers who keep our players fuelled, hydrated and smiling every Saturday morning.

Junior netball: where friendships are made, skills are developed, and entire containers of party mix mysteriously disappear. 💜💚
