Masters Swimming Victoria LC Championships 13th June, 2026 at MSAC

While the rest of the club were racing at the SGB hosted meet in Leongatha, Janice was in Melbourne racing at MSAC.

5th in 100 m Backstroke
6th 50 m Freestyle
3rd 50 m Breaststroke
4th 100 m Freestyle
5th 50 m Backstroke
3rd 100 m Breaststroke

2026 SGB WINTER DOUBLE HEADER MEET

13th and 14th June - YMCA South Gippsland SPLASH

It was a packed 2 days of racing with 140 swimmers each day of the competition. SGB welcomed a number of other clubs to the double header meet with some making the most of the 2 day meet staying at local accomodation venues.

The swimmers were on fire smashing out so many pb’s.
Congratulations to all the swimmers who got qualifying times for the upcoming Countries and State Championship events in August.

Special shout out to Zane Poxon East Gippsland Waterdragons for achieving a National Qualifying time for his Backstroke event on the Saturday night.

SGB club captains were announced and given their badges at the team meeting on the Saturday night. We look forward to the season ahead with Bec, Billy and Claudia leading the swimmers.

The final meet in the clubs Winter Meet Series is on Saturday 18th July as a twilight meet with racing starting at 4pm.

Thank you to the fabulous officials who supported our event, congratulations to our own new official Jade who got signed off as Chief Timekeeper on Saturday.

What else do you do on the Saturday of a long weekend? Park Run of course.

A keen group of swimmers, coaches Nathan & Dylan and a few parents took on the 5km challenge of the Inverloch Park Run.

Dylan took out the win, coming across the line first over all.

Saturday dates are twilight meets to fit in after other sports, 25m (8&U), 50m & 100m events only.
Sunday is a morning meet, with the addition of 200m & 400m events.
