Balanced Saddle Fitting is closed as I'm currently living in South Australia.

There are no current plans to move back and re-open or provide a remote advice as there are now other saddle fitters servicing the region.

Thanks for rallying to receive, fill in and return the forms. This is the last call - I will be making a decision THIS WEEKEND on if I have enough numbers to fly up but it is looking good at this stage.

The process will be that I will work out approximately how long I need to be in each location and send out provisional dates and costs based on that. I will then need people to confirm and pay in advance to secure their appointment.

I'm so excited about returning to FNQ and seeing so many familiar faces (human and equine!), as well as meeting and helping new clients.

Unfortunately, of the 40+ people who expressed an interest in a saddle fit appointment, only 10 or so have sent back the booking form. If I don't get any more then I wouldn't be able to cover the costs of my flights / car hire etc. and will not be able to make the trip.
Thank you to those that have taken the time to return the form. If anyone else is interested, then please send the form back through (it was emailed to you).
If I get enough interest, then I'll be booking the visit for the end of September.

Hello my fellow horsey girls (and guys!)
I'm currently planning my trip back to north Queensland. The provisional plan is to hire an arena in each town and spend the whole day in one place to maximise the number of people I can see and minimise travel time. I'm currently thinking of spending one day in each of the following towns:
1- Townsville
2 - Mission Beach (possibly if enough demand)
3 - Cairns
4 - Malanda / Tablelands

In some areas the only appointments will be on weekdays as I obviously need to do 4 days in a row.
The cost will also be higher than previously to cover flight / car hire / accommodation costs- I can't confirm yet, but likely to be about $150 per appointment. The payment will be in advance to secure an appointment.
If you are still interested in a saddle fit, please send me an EMAIL (not a message via messenger), stating which location you would be interested in. This will allow me to work out how long I need to be in each location and work out dates and flights.

It's taking a while to organise, as I'm working on some extra special little opportunities, but I promise I'm working on getting dates for a saddle fitting trip back to Tablelands / Cairns / Ingham and Townsville.
I can't get back to everyone individually as there was so much interest, but I will put more information up here shortly together with a booking form.

Thank you SO much for all your interest and messages...but.... please stop now as you are blowing up my phone! LOL!

I can see there is clearly still plenty of demand so I'll get some costs and potential dates organised and then advertise them so that we can book in actual appointments. It will take a week or two to get organised as I have to get approval to take time off my 'day job', but will post here as soon as I have a plan.

Thank you again for all your lovely messages - I've been truly amazed at the interest in this trip.

Well it's been a while..... I hope you are all getting back into the swing of things now that the wet season is over?

I'm just considering the logistics of a potential trip back to FNQ (Cairns / Tablelands / Townsville) to do some saddle fitting. I'm aware that some other saddle fitters have been kindly servicing the region since I've been away and so I'm not sure what demand is like currently.

To fly up from SA I would need a fair few confirmed appointments, so this is currently only an expression of interest so that I can do some sums.

If you are interested in a saddle fit from me in the next couple of months, please PM THIS PAGE and I'll start a list to see if I can make it a viable option.

I am getting lots of messages from Cairns, Tablelands and surrounding areas from people that need new saddles in between when myself or other visiting saddle fitters can attend.

In my absence, I can highly recommend Saddle Central as a way of purchasing 2nd hand saddles. If you send her all the information that she requires you stand a great chance of getting sent saddles that are likely to fit. You get a fair trial period and can return the sadfle if you are not happy with it.

I've spent time with her in person going through her remote fitting process and it is very thorough. Combine this with her saddle fitting training & experience, and knowledge of so many saddles and you get a service that really is the next best thing to seeing a saddle fitter in person.

I hope this helps and yes I'm working on coming back but I don't have any dates yet.
