At Adapt Martial Arts Academy, we teach a range of systems designed to suit every age and stage:

• Little Rangers (3–6 yrs) – Preschool martial arts
• Junior Hapkido (6–12 yrs) – Primary school program
• Teens & Adults Martial Arts – Complete self-defence system

Meet Our Head Instructor – Kosta Skrapis
Kosta is the owner and Head Instructor of Adapt Martial Arts Academy. With 25 years of training and over 15 years of coaching, he holds a 4th Dan in Taekwondo and a 4th Dan in Hapkido. His achievements include:
• ISKA World Cup Champion (Showmanship)
• Multi-time Australasian Titles Champion (Xtreme Forms, Weapons & Showmanship)
• Multiple ISKA Championships including Coffs Harbour Challenge
• NSW State Boxing Champion
• Coach of four ISKA World Cup Titleholders
• Recognised for having one of the highest performance placement rates in Australia for Xtreme Martial Arts

Kosta has also been featured in music videos for artists including Fortunate and Justice Crew. Adapt Martial Arts Academy is a family-run school where students build real confidence, learn practical skills, and become fitter and stronger — all within a supportive, fun, community-driven environment.

🥋 GRADING IS NEXT THURSDAY!

We’re officially into the final stretch.

By now, students will be hearing from their coaches about their grading readiness, and this last week is your opportunity to clean up those final techniques and get as much quality mat time as possible.

Use your makeup lessons. Come an extra day. Practise at home. Ask your coaches questions.

Parents, even 10 minutes at home asking your child to show you what they worked on in class can make a difference.

📅 Thursday 24th September
❌ No regular classes on grading day
🥋 Full uniform required
⏰ Arrive 15 minutes before your grading time
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Spectators welcome

GRADING TIMES — BASED ON YOUR CURRENT BELT

⚪ White — 4:30pm
🟡 Yellow — 4:50pm
🟠 Orange — 5:10pm
🟢 Green — 5:30pm
🔵 Blue — 5:50pm
🟣 Purple — 6:10pm
🟤 Brown — 6:30pm
🥋 Adults, all belts — 6:45pm

Maybe this year has made you realise your child needs a little more than another activity to keep them busy.

Maybe you’ve noticed they’re quick to say “I can’t.”

They’re capable, but they don’t always believe they are.

They struggle when they don’t get something straight away.

You’re repeating yourself constantly and wondering how to get them to actually listen the first time.

Or maybe winter sport has finished and you’re looking at the rest of the year thinking:

What could we put them into that would actually be GOOD for them right now?

This might be it. Because there is still plenty of 2026 left.

Plenty of time to walk into a new class feeling nervous and realise I can do this.

To learn to stand still and listen when their coach is speaking.

To be told “not yet” and keep practising.

To earn their first stripe.

To work towards their first grading.

To discover that getting something wrong doesn’t mean giving up.

That’s how we build confidence and discipline at Adapt.

Not by telling kids to “be more confident” or “have more discipline.”

We give them somewhere to practise it. Week after week.

And those little moments start following them off the mats too.

So if you’ve been looking at your child lately thinking “this is exactly what we need right now” don’t wait until January.

It is entirely possible for them to finish this year standing a little taller, listening a little better and believing in themselves a whole lot more. 🥋❤️
