Exercise burnout often creeps up on us and then without realising it we don't feel like going to our sessions, we can't drag ourselves to the gym or to do that run.
Good news - there's some easy fixes to try and work your way out of that burnout.
If the body is really feeling it: Taking an appropriate amount of true rest is super important to prevent overtraining and risk of injury. Similarly, participating in low impact, easy or stimulating active recovery activities can be very beneficial for the body and the mind (think hike, walks, yoga etc).
If you're feeling mentally fatigued: change up how you're exercising (muscular endurance training, mobility, bike, swim, boxing, pilates, rock climbing, silks, soccer, rugby etc etc) or try to set yourself a completely new goal (run a 5k race, complete a triathlon, compete in a halfrox or hyrox, hike up sublime point, complete a pilates challenge).
