Hello and welcome

My name is Vanessa and I am the proud Founder and Educator of Calm and Connected Classroom.

I have over 30 years experience as a teacher in both Early Childhood and Primary School settings. I am both a qualified Reading Recovery Teacher and Specialist Multisensory Structured Language (MSL) Educator that supports children with reading challenges including Dyslexia. I am also a certified Children's Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher.

I have dedicated my career to helping children build confidence, develop essential learning skills, and discover the joy of learning.

I believe every child deserves to feel capable, understood, and supported. Therefore, at Calm and Connected Classroom, my goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where children feel comfortable, connected, and empowered to reach their full potential.

We know that each child develops and learns in their own way and at their own pace, so we have designed tailored literacy and wellbeing programs within private, semi-private and small group settings to suit each child's needs.
