Well being Wing Chun

Well being Wing Chun WingChun Kungfu teaching good posture & relaxation for spinal & mental health. See Mindful Wing Chun

Richard has been training in martial arts for 20 years, and more recently started training in Wing Chun at Chi Sau Club, Sydney. He was drawn to the art because of the slow forms and their emphasis on relaxation, good posture and concentration. Being a chiropractor/osteopath, he immediately recognized the benefits of these low impact forms, and made the most of the training opportunity. He has vis

ited Hong Kong every few months since 2010, and was fortunate to train with Sigung Chu Shong Tin numerous times. He still trains regularly both in Sydney and Hong Kong, and is now introducing this style to Wollongong. The classes are run in a similar fashion to Hong Kong, with emphasis on spinal health, relaxation and awareness, and how to generate power with correct posture. Aside from martial arts, this particular art can be very beneficial for relaxation, meditation, concentration, and the overall health of the spinal column. Class curriculum includes empty hand forms and the wooden dummy, as well as partner practice leading into sticking hands.
