This week I had a bit of a first… my first ever visit to NSW Parliament House. ❤️

I’m so often the person behind the scenes — organising the event, running around, making sure everyone is where they need to be and everything is happening when it should.

But this time, I got to be a guest.

And I loved it.

I had the opportunity to meet MPs, advocates and some truly phenomenal people doing incredible work in their communities.

But one of the things I was reminded of again is just how powerful it is when people come together.

You can have a room full of people who arrive for completely different reasons, and then the conversations start.

Someone meets someone.
An idea gets shared.
You learn something you didn't know before.
A connection is made that might lead somewhere completely unexpected.

Those seemingly coincidental conversations can sometimes be the most valuable part of being in the room.

I love creating spaces where people can connect, learn, grow and share — so it was pretty special to be on the other side of it this time and simply experience it.

And I have to say… walking through Parliament House for the first time was pretty cool too. 😊

This is part of the work and life I'm building outside of my digital business as well, and I'm really enjoying where it's taking me.

So many phenomenal people, working together for better outcomes. ❤️

Which mindset category would you place yourself in right now? 🧠

1. Victim
2. Survivor
3. Conqueror

I think, at different times in our lives, most of us have probably been all three.

There have definitely been times when I felt like life was happening TO me.

Things happened that I didn’t plan for. Life changed direction. I put myself last. I worried about everyone else and somewhere along the way, some of my own dreams got pushed aside.

And sometimes life genuinely IS hard.

We don’t get to choose everything that happens to us.

But we do get to choose what we do next.

Then comes the survivor. 💪

She gets up.

She keeps going.

She does what needs to be done.

She becomes incredibly good at holding everything together.

I know that woman VERY well.

But there comes a point when you have to ask yourself…

Do I want to spend the rest of my life just being proud that I survived it?

Or am I ready to actually create something new?

That’s where I think the conqueror comes in. 🔥

Not because she suddenly has everything figured out.

Not because life becomes perfect.

But because she decides her past doesn’t get to decide her future.

For me, that shift has been huge.

I started dreaming again.

I built an online business.

I started travelling.

I found myself on stages with a microphone in my hand. 🎤

I started a podcast.

I wrote.

I created music.

And perhaps most importantly, I started asking myself:

Nicole, what do YOU actually want your life to look like?

I’m still creating it.

I’m still becoming her.

And I think that might be the best part. ❤️

You don’t have to dislike the woman you once were.

And you absolutely should honour the woman who survived everything that got you here.

But she doesn’t have to write the rest of your story.

Maybe it’s time to let the CONQUEROR write your next chapter. 👊🔥
