|The Painful Art of Getting a 50 year old body back into Race Condition| Spring has sprung and with it, the race season is upon us. I confess, I’ve been in hibernation more than usual this Winter. Sub zero temperatures and heavy frosts have seen this little comfort monster enjoying slow starts with pots of tea. Which brings me to the point. Slow mornings with cups of tea do not equate to fitness or hill climbing mojo. Nor do these return as quickly past your 50th birthday. No after burners. Just pain. Still, have courage. It does get easier, have patience and keep smiling. If nothing else, be motivated by all those cheeky friends on e-bikes. Don’t let them leave you for dust. Starting next week we are in training for hill climbs, something we have plenty of out here. I hope you can join us. Stay tuned for times and dates.
