🏆🧡 2026 AWFA CUP FINAL 🧡🏆

What a season it has been for Wodonga Heart.

We are incredibly proud of our 2026 season and everything that has been achieved across our club. There have been so many moments to celebrate, milestones reached and plenty of memories made along the way.

And now, there are just two games left.

This Saturday, our Under 16 Boys and Under 14 Boys will walk onto the pitch for the final time in 2026, both competing for an AWFA Cup Final.

They’ve worked hard all season to earn the opportunity to be there, and now there’s only one thing left to do — give it absolutely everything they’ve got. 🧡

Whatever happens when that final whistle blows, we are already incredibly proud of these boys, their coaches, managers and everyone who has supported them throughout the season.

So let’s get out to Baranduda Fields this Saturday, bring plenty of orange to the sidelines and get behind our boys for one last time in 2026! 🧡

⚽🧡 SEMI FINALS WRAP UP 🧡⚽

What a weekend of finals football!

Saturday’s games were tough and hard fought in extremely difficult conditions. Rain, plenty of water on the pitches and slippery, muddy ground made for challenging football, but our teams battled through it and gave everything they had.

Sunday brought some incredibly tight contests, with games played right to the wire and plenty of nervous moments on the sidelines!

Across the entire weekend, every one of our teams played hard for their teammates, their coaches and their club. We couldn’t be prouder of the effort, determination and commitment shown by everyone who pulled on the Heart shirt. 🧡

A huge congratulations to our Under 16 Boys and Under 14 Boys, who have earned their place in the Cup Final this Saturday! 🏆⚽

🏆 AWFA 2026 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR 🏆

A huge congratulations to Darren Vilaisarn, who has been named Joint Winner of the 2026 AWFA Volunteer of the Year! 🧡

For the past nine years, Darren has been an incredible part of Wodonga Heart, but his contribution to football across our region stretches back more than 30 years.

Coach, mentor, referee, committee member, groundkeeper and the person who simply gets in and helps wherever he is needed — Darren is the absolute definition of a clubman. From arriving early for ground setup and staying late for pack-up, to maintenance, committee work and countless hours spent coaching and supporting our players, no job has ever been too big or too small.

Darren gives his time, knowledge and energy to our club week after week, always willing to roll up his sleeves and do whatever needs to be done.

We were incredibly proud to nominate Darren for this award, and even prouder to now see his years of dedication and service recognised by the wider football community.

Congratulations Darren — a very well-deserved honour! 🏆🧡

As we look ahead to the 2027 season, Wodonga Heart FC is inviting expressions of interest from passionate and committed people interested in coaching across our Junior and Senior teams.

At Heart, coaching is about more than what happens on game day. It’s about helping players develop, creating a positive team environment, sharing your knowledge and passion for the game, and being part of a club that continues to grow both on and off the pitch. 🧡🖤

We’ve worked hard over the past few years to strengthen our coaching and player development across the club, and we’re excited to keep building on that in 2027.

🏆🧡 IT’S SEMI FINALS TIME! 🧡🏆

Another huge weekend of finals football is here, and once again Heart is making a little bit of club history!

For the first time in Wodonga Heart FC history, NINE of our teams will take the pitch in Semi Final matches this weekend! 🧡

It’s an incredible achievement and one that reflects not only the hard work that has gone into this season, but the work that has been happening across our club for the past few years. From developing our players and coaches, strengthening our teams and creating opportunities across all age groups, to the countless hours put in by our committee and volunteers behind the scenes — there has been a lot of work involved in getting Heart to where we are today.

Add to that the commitment of our players, coaches and managers throughout this season — the cold nights at training, wet Sundays, tough matches and everything in between — and having nine teams reach the Semi Finals is something our entire club can be incredibly proud of.

Now comes the exciting part! ⚽🔥

Our Semi Finals are spread across Saturday and Sunday, with three teams heading to Wangaratta South Reserve on Saturday before another six take the field at Jelbart Park on Sunday.

There is going to be plenty of Heart football to watch, and we’d love to see our Heart family out supporting our teams. Get the Heart gear on, bring the noise and let’s get plenty of orange on the sidelines! 🧡

No matter what happens this weekend, having nine teams competing in Semi Finals is something pretty special. But there’s still plenty of football to be played, and we know every team will be ready to give it everything they’ve got.

Good luck to all of our players, coaches and managers taking part this weekend.

An incredible day for Wodonga Heart, with our club values of RESPECT, TEAMWORK and that NEVER-SAY-DIE ATTITUDE on full display from start to finish.

Our players fought for every ball, our coaches led from the front and our supporters made sure every team knew they had the Heart Army behind them!

A massive thank you to our incredible Heart community, to everyone who cheered, volunteered, helped out and played their part in making today such a huge success. This is what makes our club special. 🧡🖤

🏆⚽ FINALS FOOTBALL — AND A HISTORY-MAKING SEASON FOR HEART! 🧡

What a season! For the first time in Wodonga Heart history, an incredible 13 teams are heading into the AWFA Quarter Finals this Sunday! 🙌

From our Under 12s right through to our senior teams, seeing so many Heart teams still playing finals football is something our whole club can be incredibly proud of. It’s a fantastic reflection of the commitment of our players, the countless hours put in by our coaches and managers, and the families and supporters who have been there on the sidelines all season.

Our Heart teams will be spread across Willow Park, Melrose Park, Kelly Park and Ian Barker Fields on Sunday — so wherever you are, get behind them and bring plenty of orange to the sidelines! 🧡

To all 13 teams — enjoy the moment, play for each other and give it everything you’ve got.
