These girls are continuing to show what team work is all about. An 11-0 win today. Some great passing and big efforts all round. Most of all, they had fun!

⚫⚪🔴O35 Men’s Black Friday Night game report - thanks for sharing, Tammie!

The first half was a little slow, with the boys taking some time to settle into our game. Despite not being at our best, we managed to head into the halftime break with a 1-0 lead thanks to a great header from Scottish.

A special mention to Cookie during the first half, who helped keep the boys focused with some simple but important words: “Keep our heads, lads, and play our game.” The message certainly stuck.

During the break, Dom gathered the team and delivered a simple but effective message: “Play with intensity!”

The second half saw a noticeable lift in intensity and work rate. The boys were quicker to the ball, worked hard for each other, and played with plenty of determination. The passing improved, the pressure was relentless, and the team really began to play.

As the game opened up, you could hear Bone’s voice carrying across the field with a simple instruction: “Finish it!” The boys did exactly that.

The hard work paid off, with the boys coming away with a 5-1 win. A fantastic team performance from everyone on the field.

As Cookie said, “Keep our heads, lads, and play our football,” and that’s exactly what the boys did.

⚫⚪🔴Have you wanted to help the Club in the past, but don’t have time to commit to joining our Committee?

Would you have a couple of hours every now and then (at a time that suits you), to offer some time to support our weekend football operations?

The Club is looking for volunteers 18+ to assist with Ground Official duties to help keep all our games running each week. Volunteers will have Committee members on duty to support and mentor you during the activity, and the Club is only asking for up to 2 hrs of your time throughout the entire season.

⚫⚪🔴O35’s Friday Night Div 5 Black game report - thanks for sharing, Jeancarlo!

What a game night!

We started the first half with several chances to open the scoring, but despite creating some great opportunities, we just couldn’t find the back of the net. The game was really tough, with both teams working hard and battling for that first goal.

The second half began much the same way, with both sides playing with intensity. Around 10 minutes in, Dave broke through Bligh Park’s defence and scored a fantastic goal to put Springwood ahead.

The boys continued to defend fearlessly, but unfortunately, Bligh Park found an equaliser just five minutes later.

Down to 10 men, Springwood showed incredible determination and switched into beast mode. The team played with hunger, determination, and heart. Around the 20-minute mark, Mark T produced a brilliant first touch inside the 18-yard box and struck the post, with the rebound falling perfectly to Baz, who made no mistake in putting us back in front.

With still 20 minutes remaining, the boys continued to dig deep, finding the energy to attack and defend relentlessly

Then, with just five minutes left on the clock, Baz received a beautiful pass from Jose, broke through the Bligh Park defence, and found himself one-on-one with the keeper and scored another beautiful goal

An incredibly proud performance from every player last night. The commitment, resilience, and teamwork shown by these boys were outstanding. Well done, lads!
