This is why I do what I do. Thank you Tracey Ferris for such a beautiful speech. Words can’t express how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to be part of these amazing women’s golf journey ❤️
“It’s time for us to celebrate someone who has made a remarkable difference in the lives of so many women. And when I say “remarkable,” I mean the kind of difference that makes you wonder if they secretly possess superpowers.
Janine,
You have changed lives not with grand gestures or dramatic speeches, but with consistency, compassion, and the kind of strength that whispers instead of shouts. You’ve been a mentor, a champion, a guide, and occasionally—let’s be honest—a therapist. We thank you for all of it.
You’ve shown women what’s possible when someone believes in them wholeheartedly. You’ve lifted voices, opened doors, and reminded us that success is not a solo sport. You’ve made sure no woman walks alone, unless she wants to—and even then, you’re usually only one step behind, asking if she’s sure she’s okay.
Your impact has been felt in quiet moments of reassurance, loud moments of celebration, and those wonderfully chaotic moments where everything goes wrong and you somehow hold it all together with a smile Honestly, it’s inspirational.
Tonight, we say thank you—not just for what you do, but for who you are.
For the warmth you bring.
For the courage you inspire.
And for the hope you give so generously.
You’ve changed lives, shaped futures, and built a community that is stronger because of you. And if you ever doubt the difference you’ve made, just look around this room at the many women whose lives shine a little brighter thanks to you.
So here’s to you, Janine, a true force of nature, a champion of women, and living proof that one person can make the world better.
Thank you, from all of us”
