Australian Open Update | Winchelsea Bowls Club

What a fantastic week it’s been at the Australian Open for our Winchelsea representatives, with some outstanding performances against the country’s best bowlers.

👏 Erin & Hawk fought their way through to the Final 64 of the Mixed Pairs, a tremendous achievement in a highly competitive field.

👏 Pip & Ian also enjoyed a strong campaign, reaching the Final 128 in the Mixed Pairs.

The action isn’t over yet!

🎯 Erin returns to the greens tomorrow in the Final 128 of her singles event.

🎯 Pip & Erin have qualified for the Final 64 of the Fours, which gets underway on Monday.

🎯 The pair will then back up on Tuesday in the Final 64 of the Pairs.

We’re incredibly proud of the way our players are representing Winchelsea Bowls Club on one of the biggest stages in the sport. Best of luck to Erin, Pip, and all involved as the tournament continues!

This commitment comes at a pivotal time for our club. New challenges, new opportunities, and a new region await, and Rhys will continue to play an important role in helping guide our members and culture into this exciting future.

His passion for player development, club growth, and creating opportunities both on and off the green has already made a significant impact, and we’re excited to see what the next three years will bring.
