A very delayed post but I want to say congratulations to Hayden who represented NSWCCC at NSW Pizzey Cup trials at the coldest tournament I have ever been to, which included my time when I played tournaments. Hayden came in at first reserve for the team of 8 to go to Nationals in Perth. The kids played through rain, sleet and strong winds the first day, and it snowed 10 minutes from Bathurst the second day. There was some controversy on 8th place where Hayden was informed that he had in fact made the team, then the decision was reversed 2 days later as there was a discrepancy within the rules. I have to say I was I was very proud how he handelled himself with the disappointment and congratulated the other person who had made the team.

Some more fantastic results to report over the holidays. Congratulations to Hayden and Joel on winning the 16s Boys doubles at the NSW State Age. Last year they won the 14s boys doubles at the same tournament. In singles at this year's tournament Hayden came third losing the semi final to the overall winner.
The week previously Hayden played at Albury Easter Open on natural grass having some great matches in opens and 18s. Hayden got to the semi finals of the 18s boys age group. Well done Hayden.

Some fantastic results over the holiday period for Miss Caitlin. At the NSW State Age she cracked the double winning the final of the 12 girls singles 6 1 6 1, then went on to win the doubles with her good friend Taya.
The week prior Caitlin also made it to the final of the ACT Junior Signature series. Congrats Caitlin we are super proud of you.

Thrilled for this young lady who not only made the Mackillop tennis team to go to PSSA, but then went on and made the NSW Bruce Cup Primary School Team. Congratulations Caitlin. Your hard work is paying off.

Congratulations on these two little legends for winning the 10s singles, and to William for coming in runner up at the Vince Barclay round Robin over the weekend. These two attend the "Little Masters Squad" on Saturdays every week without fail. Consistiency is the key to improvement. I would also like to give a big thank you to all the parents who selflessly give up their Saturdays to bring their kids to the squad. As a coach there is nothing more satisfying seeing the kids growing and improving each week. Thank you to Tomoko Barclay for the photo!
