While the rubber was still hot on the tyre we thought why not head to Ballarat on the weekend and see if we can get old heavy down the airport track.
Lined up first pass to try a really soft tune from Portland and BAM it didn’t even get off the line as expected 😂.
So we played dirty and left the bottle off for the c02 and ran the engine naturally aspirated on gate pressure only, surprising we got off the line at 5000rpm.
Few more passes with different techniques and we had the car dialled in running 6.2’s consistently.
Thanks to the Ballarat drag club and committee for having us, we will return for some more racing soon enough.

Last minute decision to head to Portland for their Street Car Challenge event.

South Coast Raceway put on a cracker event with a 45 minute street cruise before heading into qualifying and chicago shoot out, got 2 out of 3 wins by fluke as always!

We were lucky enough to win the chook raffle to take a passenger down the track which was a great experience for a spectator to feel what it’s like.

Managed to take a few extra wins also :

Jamboree at Brisbane…Qualifying Round 1 in zipped the tyres just after the start line…Q2 was in the heat of the day so the car didn’t even try to take off before it spun. Q3 was late at night with better track conditions, was hung out on the start line that long that my alloy side pipe melted off. But that didn’t stop us from cutting a good light, had to peddle before the 1/8 as it was pushing to the centre line but back into it hard and pulled chutes early as the car was trying to drift towards the centre with a new pb of 7.74@179 data showing the alternator stopped charging and was fuel cutting early. This lead us to some car park repairs on the side pipe but the alternator had cooked its self from the heat which resulted us out of the competition. Drove the car back on the trailer and hung the suit up for the weekend. Special thanks to Andy Bloom for the chop out as a crew chief as the Victorian boys couldn’t make it, cheers to everyone else at the track that helped out. All stars drag and drive completed ✅
Managed to lay down a 7 second pass yesterday which was killa as we hadn’t landed one in Queensland to date.
Ripped a new pb with a 184.7MPh🏁 which got us pretty pumped on what we could do when it’s all set to kill mode.
Can’t thank the guys enough for putting on a great event, ran smoothly with some awesome rules to keep the days fast paced etc.
Cheers to the Queenslander hospitality from all the racers and spectators, we love the encouragement and push from you all.
Massive shout out to the melonys for hosting us and helping us with endless things throughout the racing wile being up here in qld
Big congratulations to Matty for taking out the 10.5 class as well as taking any sort of prize that was available for grabs, you done well fella🤘.
Cheers to the crew and remote crew for everything, without this help we would be stuffed Jeff, Brett, Shane and everyone else.

Frosty at Warwick
We managed to lay down a [email protected] on our first pass with the fastest reaction time in our class for the day…….it made up for the longest one the day before 😂.
Couldn’t beat the heat throughout the rest of the day and this ended up being our fastest pass all day before the drive back to willowbank.
Thanks to junga Bunga for the hook up with local alloy welder to repair our bull horn, thanks to all the helpers throughout the day with the car.
Excited for our final day at willowbank today, track is looking good so it’s our time to put it down the best we can and make up for some lost time….

It might have taken us all day to get some issues sorted out on the car, but once we got a A-B pass in we walked away with the fastest MPH of 178. Thanks for the help of everyone at the track as well as our remote tuner and chassis specialist, without this we wouldn’t have been able to get through the day. Headed off on a scenic drive to Warwick for round 2, busted a fuel hose along the way….. shout out to Shane baker for having some spares to keep us motoring for our 1/8th mile racing today. Let’s hope the track is on point so we can turn this big girl up and run some decent numbers on the board. Shout out to all the sponsers for making this event possible

Friday 13th was a nightmare at the bend.

Had some issues with the car breaking down on the line then just out from the 60ft hitting a safety.
After some diagnosing and searching from Jeff a broken wire was found, repaired and lined up again for another hit.

Hoping 3rd hit was going to be the one…
Turns out in the burnout the oil filter stretched its threads and tried to push its self off the clearview and oiled the start line…apologies to everyone.

Cleared up all the oil that went everywhere and hoping for a fresh start at qualifying today.
