Massive event for the team. Both cars putting in 5’hrs of racing on Saturday. First up the Dunlop destiny series.
4x30 min races. Dylan had his work cut out competing against the best youngsters australia has to offer. A puncture in race 1 then a couple more issues plagued what was an exceptional event. “That’s racing” he said, “bad day at the tracks still a great day”. He has his eyes looking forward and fortunes will turn in his favour soon enough.
4x30 min races in the masters class for Gordon.
A broken header pipe meant he didn’t qualify and had to start at the rear of grid for race 1. Going well he got into 6th before a ripple strip unsettled the kill switch and he lost all power, losing several positions before realising the issue and getting back into the race.
Usual story, cornering and under brakes Gordon was on it, just loosing out on straight line grunt. Despite this Gordon missed out on a podium finish for the event by only 4pts.
The APC Sherrins fight in the night 3hr enduro seen the mighty Cenos Korean muscle cars take in the best of Production
Car racing in Australia had to offer. Mustangs, Camaros, BMWs. It’s fair to say they weren’t intimidated by the excels, but maybe by the driver line up. Dylan Capstick, Maverick Kemenyvary, Gordon smith and Production cars very own Anthony Levitt.
3hrs later and a ton of fun, laughs and crazy antics and we both finished some 20 odd laps down.
What a fantastic event and thankyou to all the APC crowd for making us so welcome, a fantastic class and event.
Thankyou
For a wonderful day at the track with a wonderful bunch of people.
