On the 11th of April 2026, Williamstown Imperials hosted our 100th Year Anniversary Celebration at Seaview Williamstown. It was a fantastic evening for all where we were able to celebrate the 100 great years of the club.
The night started with a commemoration of the past 100 years presented by Club president Brett Pearce. This speech allowed all in attendance to really understand the origins of the club from the founding in 1926 to the first premiership in the 1934/35 season. Then to the success of 1958/59 - 1964/65 where the club won 7 premierships in a row, and finally to today where the club has 4 senior teams, an U18 XI, 150 juniors enrolled and have just introduced our very first women’s team.
The Cricket Club then welcomed Rick Wintle as the 45th life member and awarded all life members with life member badges to really cement their legacy within the club. The club were also fortunate enough to hear from club legends Daniel Slattery, Billy Robson, Peter Harsley, and Simon Granger on their experiences throughout the history of the club.
Thanks to everyone involved that made the night run smoothly, we couldn’t have done it without you.
And a special thanks to Mick Skinner for his MC duties for the night.
